Tuxford House

Owner was very welcoming and helpful. Guest house was a lovely building & original Victorian features. Close to centre and all of Blackpool’s main attractions. Near to the beach. We asked for a family room which had a double, single and a bunk bed. Large bathroom. Would stay here again.

Bank holiday weekend stay for me and my little boy. Clean, comfortable, and value for money hotel. Parking available, excellent host. Will be staying again

The hotel and staff where excellent and clean manager went the extra mile when had a problem wish they were pet friendly

This place is tired. Very tired. Very dated, very unkempt and generally not good. The place looks untouched from the 1990s and that includes the bedding. Our room had four beds in it but all the mattresses needed binning. The sheets in one bed looked gross. The general cleanliness of the place was disgusting. Under the bedside table was an empty box! When I’d lost something, I moved my bed and underneath were tablets, a coin and some playing cards. I would suggest the bed hasn’t been moved for some time. The room had a sky light that meant light came through the ceiling at an ungodly hour walking everyone up with no means of stopping it. The bathroom was a shocker. The shower a practical trickle. There was no breakfast but if the food was going to be as poor as the room I’m glad there wasn’t. There was scaffolding outside our window but it looked like it had been up years with no sign of movement or improvement. It made a lovely view from our room (see photos). It wasn’t cheap staying here and I won’t be returning. It needs a complete modernisation, oh and a couple of cleaners employing.
