Lyndene Hotel

Good location, very good breakfast. And lovely staff. The only down side and fault I have with the hotel, is the parking. I payed for a reserved space as I need 24 access to my car. But the spaces are absolutely far too tight !!! Once you park up, it’s a struggle to get the door open wide enough to get out! I can only imagine what it’s like for a person of a bigger build !! This would be easy fixed if the hotel would take 2 spaces away and make the remaining bays bigger !!! Please look into doing this!!!! Apart from that. I will be be back.

The Lyndene is very well run. The reception area is welcoming and the staff very friendly. I didn't eat there so I am unable to comment, but they have entertainment nightly and it was satisfactory for people on holiday. It is an old building with old fashioned decor but very clean. I was in a room on the ground floor which unfortunately was noisy because the floor above had rather heavy people in it who sounded like a herd of elephants night and day as the floors creaked so much.I didn't sleep very well as they also went to the toilet several times each night and flushed the toilet each time which echoed down the pipers. But for value for money it was reasonable and as I was only there for two nights I didn't ask to be moved.

Good clean rooms.food was good.staff were nice.

3 friends staying for 2 nights, very hot and cramped room! But only for sleeping in, however it was uncomfortable. 3rd floor, you seem to go up and come back on yourself? Lifts were hit and miss, people complaining and renting fans. Breakfast ok, drinks ok, we had cocktails which were good, staff friendly.

When I buck hotel,I didn`t expect much.But it was so good.We with husband wery happy.Enterteiments every evening,plenty time spend .Food is so good.You can order pizza when you wont.Rooms is clean,beds comfortable.Thanks for unexpected good holiday.

Luke who works in the restaurant, was brilliant went above and beyond to help us with our breakfast as my auntie Deadre is gluten free, the hotel was great, will come back for sure again the night life is good too, really enjoyed staying here room was spotless.

Staff went out of their way to get us checked in late at night. Everything I saw was clean and professional.

This hotel was recommended to us by a few people. We decided to give it a go. We arrived on 13th May for 2/nights. When we arrived it became clear that the lifts were not working and at our age 78 and 80 we struggled to the room allocated on the second floor, I had booked on the phone a 3 bedded room with bay window and sea view. We were sent to a room with several beds in and no sea view, indeed I didn’t even see a window. After a conversation with the reception we were offered a sea view room with single beds for extra money. I agreed this and went to find the room on the 3rd floor. So another set of stairs to navigate for us both. The room, I will say, was spotlessly clean, but very small and the sea view I paid extra for was none existent as the double glazing was blown and there was a continual stream on water in between the x2 sheets of glass. The next negative was the dinner that was inedible. I ordered the Sea Bass served with seasonal veg. There were 2 small new potatoes, some mange tout, a dried up piece of fish and cauliflower that was very hard and grey in colour. And some other veg that I am not sure what it was. My husband had roast chicken with a ball of solid stuffing, again the dreadful cauliflower and 2 potatoes with mange tout. We didn’t bother the second night. Breakfast we had cereal and toast as we didn’t want a large breakfast. The evening entertainment was okay. Another positive were the staff, everyone we encountered was polite and very helpful but they need to sort the chef out.

Room had tired decor but will immaculate and comfortable. Bar and entertainment was very good, prize bingo was fun. Only down side was the smokers blocking the entrance and were not keen on moving to make space to let us in! Recommend Shirley Bassey!
