Montgomery Hotel

Hotel was very basic we booked a double room and our bed was 3/4 bed mattress was very springy we went an ask for a extra pillow was told by the lady she will look for 1 tomorrow but 10mins later she brought 1 up to our room. Room was very small had to leave shower screen open as I'm quite on the large side and could not fit in the cubicle or turn around in it the wash basin was up a corner with a shelf nxt to it with the kettle on accident waiting to happen as I was cleaning my teeth and had to turn side to get near the sink good job the kettle had not just boiled as I knocked it off the shelf with my elbow. As stated should of been a bar which was never open Denise n Martin was not very hospitality only seen them twice on arrival and leaving won't be going back anytime soon

Room was tiny , very damp and cold. Owner entered room while out and took heater out had bought to warm room only returning it in morning. ( illegal to enter a guests room when they are not present) also entered a friends room and turned hair straighteners off they where charging to use in the evening. Selling duty free vodka and charging full price for it. As well as multi pack cans with huge mark up. Basically if you have a choice avoid this place. Worst hotel stayed in and I stay in a lot. Would I return? Never. Should it be shut down? Yes.

Very basic hotel. Room was so small don't take a cat as no room to swing it about. Owner goes in your room when you are out as if left any electrical device connected will unplug it. Room was so cold clothes where damp so had to buy a heater that owner confiscated. ( check b n b rules has no right to enter your room. Without consent) . Lady owner was lovely, her partner thinks is ten men. If a family member hadn't arranged the stay would have educated him on customer service. Don't book this hotel its not nice. The male owner has serious chip on his shoulder where you can't use electric as its his house. I'm very well travelled and stay in over 150 hotels a year in uk and abroad. Shivering at night is not my idea off a nice stay. I'm being polite with this review as can't say what want to. No car parking, WiFi is pants, electrical sockets in room where non existent other than 3 way adaptor in them . More room in a prison cell to move around. Guess get what pay for but if ever visit Blackpool again will pay premium to get a decent place. Breakfast was very nice is one plus point but being dictated to time its at isn't. Quite simply avoid unless its 40° outside. Male owner is nothing short off cee you next Tuesday.

No bar or lounge to relax

Accommodation clean and albeit provision of wardrobe and drawer space in the family room was very limited, especially if the occupancy is 7. After initial contact as to when we were checking in I was told check in after 5 wasn't possible as stated on all booking websites despite the description stating contact owner for late in detail - not overly helpful as it meant our day at the Pleasure Beach was cut short to accommodate as close to 5pm check in we could manage. No obvious text when booking stating breakfast needed to be booked in advance - more of a B&B than a hotel
