We thought we would give it another try after a disappointing family meal a few years back but sadly not much has changed. The food was not the best and table service was slow. Much better options in the area.

Me Kirsty and my husband Tim had the best wedding on 30/06/2024 with nothing but compliments from our guests about how good the food was and also how much was offered aswell also very well catered for our vegan guest! Honeymoon suite is beautiful with plenty of room! Odette couldn’t do enough for us!

Had my wedding here in August 2024. The team at the Maes Manor were amazing throughout the entire process. Very helpful while planning and ensuring that things were put in place in a timely manner, great at alleviating stress when we had a disaster the night before the wedding! Also amazing on the day at helping everything run like clockwork and making sure that we had an amazing time. Particular mentions to Oddett, Mike and Sam, who were particularly helpful. Would absolutely recommend anyone get married at this venue!

Spent a wonderful weekend with family in this beautifully relaxing hotel in South Wales. The hotel although in need of some tlc is very clean and the beds really comfortable. The surroundings are stunning (would make a perfect wedding venue), food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and attentive. We can’t wait to visit again.

Our room was nice and large, clean, nice view. Good value. But we were the only guests as far as we know. So meals were just us. I can’t fault the staff, but the food was nearly all deep fat fried. I had to ask if they had any deserts, but there was only ice cream. On checking out, we asked how quiet it was and was told it really was a wedding venue. They were preparing for a weekend wedding which looked amazing. The grounds are lovely. The 3 stars was about no buzz about, & the food available. Weddings yes, general none wedding guests not really geared up for.

Just awful. My room was so tired, marks on everything from the walls to the towels. Shower was a dribble and everything incredibly dated. I was the only person there midweek, dinner was painful, all reheated frozen food. Gin and tonic was luke warm, no ice. Staff perfectly nice though, but this place was knackered.

Attended with friends for lunch,all food pre ordered. Majority of people disappointed with food. Lasagne very salty and dry,other dishes with fried eggs which were barely cooked. Myself and wife's menus were wrong and apparently menu had been changed without any notification,soup salty. Nothing to recommend meal wise,would not visit here again. Either ingingChef needs changing or meals need to taste tested before being foisted on to the Public. Also noted that Christmas meals with singer eg Robbie Williams priced at £50 per person whereas Rolling Jack approx £32 @ and I believe Bryn Meadows approx same price. Check it out yourself,you have been warned.

My husband and I had our wedding here in on 27/08/24 Mr& Mrs Francis. If you’re looking for a grand picturesque country house then this is the place. With its beautiful exterior and interior homely feel it truly brings out the buildings history. The staff were amazing from start to finish. Food was incredible and the place was spotless. Thank you for giving us our gorgeous wedding, it was a perfect place for a perfect day!! Jasmine and Craig Francis.
