During our stay we had breakfast included, but there was a problem on their part - they told us that we had to be refunded! 39 euros, to this day after emails and phone calls, I still have not been reimbursed! Not serious about running away!!!!

Shabby hotel. The reception serves as a dirty laundry shed, the room is shabby, dirty, the toilet bowl full of scale. Curtains with mushrooms. The manager seems to be a Flemish nationalist who can't stand French speakers. I took 2 days off with my son. We escaped after the first night.

Hotel central location. Spacious room on the 2nd floor. Clean hotel, comfortable bedding, nice bathroom. Safe system to access your key on the first day. Simple welcome, nothing more. Very attractive price.

Had the pleasure of the family room cost an arm and a leg for a basic hotel. Bathroom handle was flimsy it fell off so we had to use the bathroom at a petrol station as there were no staff to fix the handle. The floor was dirty in the rooms with most of the floor boards chipped. The walls where can I tart had stains and were dirty. I had a message there was disabled parking in front of hotel but man at the bar who claimed to be bar manager said the message did not come from the hotel even though I had been communicating with he hotel via the messanger. He said no disabled parking. There was a rude and silly lady who worked at the bar too who was hissing and throwing her hands up like an ***** when I asked a question she just walked off. I had to park at a distance form the hotel and it cost me 27 Euros for the night. Been to Belgium several times and the people are normally nice and friendly but Blankenberge, would miss it in a heartbeat. The people are not friendly, the Brood Enbanket which is a pastry shop had a server/owner who was equally rude and refused to take any card payments if it was not Belgium card, she said she had no time to explain. Avoid this place at all cost if you are a tourist. In a nutshell Bugges is the place to go but could not find a hotel there cus of the holidays so please avoid Value hotel and Blankenberge as a whole. No star at all.

We arrive at the hotel around 6 p.m., a lady greets us briefly, inviting us to go to the safe with a code received by email. I had received an email with a 4-digit code so I thought that was it, but when I typed it into the trunk it didn't work. So we asked for help from the manager who explained to us in an annoyed manner that it was not the right code (actually I hadn't seen it but there was a second email with two other codes) but hey could have explained it to us nicely. Arriving in the room, first observation: no toilet paper, a bath towel in poor condition and hairs on the pillows. The style of the room needs to be reviewed, peeling paint, very old furniture... With the keys to the room a leaflet was given to us, in this leaflet there was several information concerning the hotel, including that for the small lunch which told us that we had to contact reception to reserve. So fine, we decide to go down to reserve lunch and at the same time ask for toilet paper. It was 7 p.m. (reception closes at 8 p.m.), 30 minutes passed and still no one at reception (even though there was noise coming from the staff's private premises). We then decide to call the reception number and get an answering machine, so we leave a message to ask for lunch. After that we decided to leave, in the end we bought toilet paper ourselves and then we enjoyed our evening on the beach. We return to the hotel at 11 p.m. and we see that the manager and his wife are there, so we decide to go see the woman to finally reserve this famous breakfast, she tells us that she has to see with her husband. So the manager comes to us and haughtily tells us that we should come earlier. What followed was a long discussion of around ten minutes in which the manager was on the verge of yelling at us even though we remained courteous throughout. Initially he said that we had to come to reception earlier, when we told him that we had shown up at 7 p.m. and that there was no one there, his version of the facts quickly changed and he told us that it was a reservation to be made on the internet before 5 p.m.… (I admit that when I rented the room I didn't pay attention to whether there was really this information, I just saw that it was noted that it was available apart from the room) in any case on the leaflet they gave us it was noted at reception and there was no time limit. In short, a lot of inconsistencies in his words. Finally, during the night, the insulation of the walls as well as a loud, incessant noise + the manager who decides to speak loudly at 7 a.m. in the corridor are things to review. The only positive points: the location and the comfortable bed. We paid 65€ per night so not very expensive compared to others

Really disappointed with our stay with them, arriving on Saturday evening around 6 p.m., I knew that there would be no one at reception and that was not a problem, the problem is that all the keys are stored in a safe so any person with the access code of the day and who is not honest can choose the room they want, I had paid for a deluxe room as he calls it, well I thought at least I had something that was worth the money for the supplement, windows in poor condition... impossible to see the outside because they are so dirty, two single beds stuck together, a bathtub which was not clean, a worn armchair, well I don't go to a hotel to watch television, but even It didn’t work, the batteries in the remote control were dead…. a hotel that needs a facelift… everything is old… for 133€ I knew I wouldn't get a 5 star but there it was much too expensive for what it was… room really not soundproofed, one day under the door lets in the light from the corridor to have the room illuminated all night... the only positive point of this hotel is perhaps that it is located not far from the dike... but that is really its only point positive… In summary, avoid this hotel… it is too expensive for what it is… it needs a major refresh, a good refurbishment,
