A lot to improve in this hotel Don’t wait a lot from staff. Two thirds of them are not suitable for their job unfortunately

This hotel is a very nice place to stay, esp if you book it at the under 150 bucks rate that it is available year round except for the Xmas and New Year period. Even with the high season last minute dynamic pricing highway robbery rates we booked, and with all our requests for room type being ignored thanks to a third party booking site, we were pleased with the stay. Thanks to the diligent staff, esp Lydia who worked hard to make sure we got a room with most of the features booked, we had a very nice stay at a very busy time. The staff is exceptional and with loss of functionality in half the electric outlets in our room, they rapidly sent repair staff late at night to fix a tripped circuit. The balconies provide views of the beach - be sure to ask for a high floor or you will be stuck above the noisy restaurant/bar. Rooms seem newly renovated and are very comfortable. Beds are very comfortable. The only negative was the horrible mayhem at breakfast and the overworked and clearly miserable staff who could not keep up with the almost animalistic behavior of the hungry tourist masses. It was hard not to sympathasize with their disdain, trying to remain polite as guests demand four egg omlettes piled with 10x the normal volume of ingredients- or waste endless bowls of food they had to replenish. Breakfast was simply unpleasant, but was as much due to fellow guests as the tired staff. One thing to consider is that it will cost you a significant amount in Uber or taxi fees to and from Cape Town and it takes at least 35 minutes each way, without traffic, and longer, if things are busy. If you plan on being in town daily, you may want to stay somewhere closer. But if you need a break from the city, this is a very nice place to take it.
Response from Property: Dear Matars, Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review of your recent stay at our hotel. We genuinely appreciate your feedback and are pleased to hear that overall, you had a very nice stay. We're particularly grateful for your kind words regarding our diligent staff, especially Lydia, who went above and beyond to ensure your requests were met and promptly addressed the issue with the electric outlets. We'll be sure to commend them for their exceptional service. Your insights into the challenges during breakfast are noted, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. We understand the importance of a smooth dining experience, and we'll work on addressing any issues to enhance the overall breakfast service. We also appreciate your mention of the location considerations for those planning to visit Cape Town frequently. It's valuable information for potential guests looking for proximity to the city. Thank you for choosing our hotel, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for another pleasant stay. If there's anything specific, you'd like to share or discuss further, please feel free to contact our management directly. Sincerely, Fikile Kalimashe Marketing Manager

We had 2 rooms with stunning views of Robben Island and Table Mountain. Staff were helpful. Rooms were very clean and the beds have super comfortable matresses. Heated pool on 2nd floor situated on a windy veranda. We suggested to staff that pool area should be more sheltered from wind. The food was good. I missed more fresh fruit at breakfast All over a very pleasant, relaxing, but classy stay.

Fantastic facilities. Attention to detail. Everything you may want after a long day. Great views. It cannot be any better, from the room size , finishes etc. This is without a doubt a very comfortable stay away from home. Friendly staff, helpful…

A very comfortable and spacious room with an EXCELLENT 2-aspect view of Tabel Mountain. Something to lie in bed, with the complimentary selection of teas, and look out at. be sure to get a sea view room, otherwise it would be a rather 'corporate' experience. Good restaurant with outside seating overlooking the bay, though with staff seeming a little distracted on the mronign we were there.

Very overpriced and unorganized. The hotel staff tried to get me to pay over 13000 zar for 5 nights yet had it listed on the website for less with a discount and 20% off a 3 night stay. I told them multiple times that it’s robbery. Yes the view is nice but the hotel its self is shabby and non welcoming. Pretentious front desk staff and random security that doesn’t do much other than walk around randomly. Had the housekeeper walk into my room when I had the do not disturb sign up twice and woke me up. I will not be recommending this hotel or ever staying here again.
