I live in New York and went to Bluefields for the Softball tournament and stayed at this hotel. I am taking the time to commend the staff on their friendliness and kindness they showed towards us each day. I did not get all their names but Pupa our waiter was extremely attentive and professional. and went out of his way to provide choices for my son who is lactose intolerant. He is an asset to that restaurant. Julia at the front desk as well as Suyen were just so kind to us throughout our stay even when we just stopped in the lobby to cool down from the heat. Keep up the good work.

The hotel does not look as nice in person as it's shown online. The elevator is broken and they have no ETA for when it will be fixed. Toilets were turned off when we arrived. Room smelled musty and the smell would not go away. Showers did not have hot water. We had to ask staff strongly to sent maintenance person to address water in both bathrooms. Restaurant ran out of shrimp and bread so eating options were severely limited.

My wife and I have stayed at the hotel about 5 times. There are pluses and minuses, as with any hotel. PLUSES Excellent location near the port, so you can walk to the ferry for Corn Island. It's quiet, s you won't be bothered by the street noise. ROoms include breakfast on the 4th floor, which has a wonderful vie of the Bluefields Bay The hotel has a back-up power generator to keep the electricity flowing when there is a blackout MINUSES Curtains in the room don't really work. We rented 3 rooms, and the "glitches" with the curtains were present in all of them. Bathroom lighting is weak, so position your toiletries so that you can find them easily, The pillows are thin and can support your head only when doubled-up. But if there are 2 of you in a room, sorry, because there are no other pillow options. The elevator didn't work, and no one knew when it would be fixed NEWS The owner of the Casa Royale visited Venezuela in the last quarter of 2021, caught Covid, and died there.
