The location, room and environment are all very good. When traveling during the peak season, take your time, take your time, and take your time. The hotel gave us a comfortable feeling.

I was staying for a 2 day business stay so this made the perfect hub for me. Staff were helpful, polite and friendly, the room was fine for its purpose, bed was comfy, room is spacious. Hot water takes an absolute age to come through to the point I nearly gave up, Netflix didn’t work but other channels did (the remote has a Netflix button which I thought was a nice touch but it wouldn’t connect so Freeview it was!).
Would I stay again? Yes I would, it was what I needed at a great price.

I got a voucher for afternoon tea for my birthday for here. Comfortable setting with lovely views and the service was very polite and attentive. The afternoon tea itself was delicious. A lovely selection of savouries followed by scones and mouth watering cakes all impeccably served.

I booked by telephone asking for a wheelchair accessible room for a solo traveller. The Wheelchair accessible room is NOT safe for a solo wheelchair traveller to occupy. The 3 meter long ramp that is required to ascend the 2 steps to the door that crosses a walkway then drops down the kerb into the carpark absolutely requires a 2nd person to stand at the top of the ramp and hold the door open as I discovered while my wheelchair slid backwards and alarmingly sideways down the ramp when trying to open the heavy door at the top of the ramp. When it became apparent to the terrified member of staff watching the wheelchair slide that it was not safe for me to get into the room without assistance I asked them to cancel my reservation and help arrange a booking at The Grange Manor only 5 miles away in Grangemouth where the rooms are lovely and disabled accessible which I highly recommend rather this place ......

Easy check in, dinner was available at an early time (whick was nice as i hadnt eaten all day).
Large room, comfy bed.
Room was cold when i went in, window open, but soon closed & a call to reception got the heat going.
Breakfast was nice with good selection. Bit of a bargain for the price i think.
Dinner menu was a little limited, but as its Dec. can understand they were limiting selections.

Visited the restaurant and had the most delicious burgers with loaded fries. We did however order too much, as the burgers came with their own fries. However, it gave us a sample of their Mac n cheese, which was just as tasty as the burgers. The staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming. Could not find fault, will definitely be back.

A disappointing experience. Staff shortages, apparently. But the room wasn't that clean and we had to ask for loo rolls. We won't be returning here.
