We were in the process of moving and we needed a place that could accommodate 3 adults, 1 infant, 2 dogs and 2 cats for a few days. We chose the Red Roof Inn because: 1.) Generous pet policy 2.) Spacious two-room suite 3.) Price We know that Red Roof Inn is a value brand and not to have high expectations. However, this particular location came with high ratings, glowing reviews and stunning photos. As with most value brands, the lowest common denominator is the clientele. From the moment we stepped into the elevator, we were “hot boxing” it all the way to our suite. I’m not talking the smell that came off of someone, clearly someone was smoking in the elevator, in the hallway, and in their room. The haze was THICK! A group of children were running about the entire building, tying up the elevators and making all sorts of yelling, screaming and thumping as they ran the halls. Management was responsive and clearly on the hunt. We were reassured that the problematic guests would be gone in the morning and we’d be compensated for the inconvenience. Night 2 featured a woman in the room next door (paper thin connection door) yelling and screaming at her children, who were wailing and crying. Guys tailgating in the parking lot. More smell of ****. The room was well designed, although filthy upon arrival. My granddaughter crawled around and her PJ’s were black with dirt from the floor. Many items in the room were in disrepair. You get what you pay for…. I wish more mid scale brands offered true multiroom suites. Thanks Red Roof for trying.
