The staff were friendly and helpful, but the rooms left a lot to be desired. There was duct tape holding the tiles together in our bathroom and the water pressure was pretty much nonexistent. It was not very clean. Breakfast was good. Overall not a bad experience but I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

We stayed in garden rooms. Pros- huge tv, teas/coffee, fridge, robes,slippers. Access to garden area over looking railway station. Potential to be a beautiful summer location

We had a one night stop over at this inn. The food was exceptional, in fact, in pretty much every way this place exceeded expectation, all the staff were really great, they went above and beyond to be friendly and accommodating, many thanks to Ean and the whole team.

Popped in for a drink after a days walking. Was met by a really snotty barmaid who clearly thought she was working at the Savoy. Tables outside were grubby, cigarette butts on the floor etc. Left as soon as we could and had our supper in Aviemore old bridge inn which was fabulous!

We stayed in one of the garden rooms and it was very comfortable with a nice outlook. The only issue was that it took 5-6 minutes for the water to get hot, possibly as we were right at the end. This wasted a lot of water running it to get to a decent temperature. We had one evening meal there which was very nice and have eaten here on previous trips to the area but not stayed but we had enjoyed the food. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss. The pancakes with bacon and maple syrup comes with only one piece of bacon.

Not the largest room we have stayed in but it was clean with a modern bathroom incorporating a large shower. The evening food was some of the best we had during our whole holiday in the Spey Valley. Service left a lot to be desired but since Brexit we have noticed this in a lot of places as staffing becomes an issue especially in more isolated locations.

Served by a very abrupt almost rude elderly waiter. Served the coffee too hot and my friend who had not requested this said her coffee was burnt. Food nothing special but as is the case these days expensive . I had breakfast , toast was burnt , ( sent it back )they had something with chicken / salmonThe coffee was £5.00 and described on the bill as large ! It was not. Service charge added ………we should not have paid it (. Typical Britts.) Anyway did not rate at all.
