As far as a budget friendly hotel near the beach and the city it’s hard to beat. For this I would rate it at 5 stars. The downsides are that the hotel is very dated, rooms and hotel areas are showing wear and tear but everything was clean. The walk over to the beach was close but you’re entering the public beach area. Staff seemed a bit annoyed with my presence.

Bueno para estancias cortas, la habitación cómoda y con lo necesario, solo no cuentan con agua caliente (en nuestro caso nunca salió - solo agua tibia).
El personal y servicio es muy amable.

Het was eens een prachtig hotel maar dat is lang geleden. Heel jammer dat ze alles zo hebben verwaarloosd. De prijs van de kamers is veel te hoog voor wat bieden. Er is een groot zwembad maar mensen van buiten het hotel kunnen er ook gebruik van maken. Soms druk bezocht. En er is nergens wifi, zelfs niet in de receptie.

This is an iconic hotel, unlikt the Hotel Ruiz Galindo in Fortín which is now abandoned, Hotel Mocambo mantains its character, sure needs a fresh coat of paint but other than that I am extremely pleased with my stay
