Tue hotel idea very nice and well located. Breakfast is good with hot and cold options. The room
Is big and the bed is big and confy. The staff is kind, and informative. The room has a kettle and a fridge for cold drinks. The toilet is big and well equide with towels

Absolutely awful place. Bocas is nasty generally but this was worst hostel I've ever stayed at. The only plus is for those who like to party and have a LOT of money, the bar is jumping loud most nights until very late. Drunks super expensive and the noise is unavoidable. People switch off the air con in the awful dorms.

Delicious chips and more craft beer was missing. Just la.mera.mera. Suggestions to expand offers. More variety... And customer service...not waiting so long.... Afterwards everything is delicious 😋. Use local ingredients and be creative with menus.... Successes

If you are between 20 and 30 years old, you want to meet people and live a party and beer, this is the hotel for you. Now, my experience: we went as a couple, to relax and enjoy the sea. We didn't have hot water in the shower for 3 days, could it get worse? Yes, one day there was no water directly and they gave us times to bathe. The cleaning service is regular. When there was a party, they didn't clean the room... What can I say. There were some bugs in the mattresses because I woke up every day with bites on my legs and back. At breakfast we never managed to get the coffee and what we were going to eat at the same time. And finally: we had contracted to go to Red Frog (for its tranquility and nature in the middle of Bastimento Island) but the day before check-in they told us that they had water problems and that they would transfer us to Isla Colon. Detail: They forgot to warn us that they were hosting the carnival celebrations in February, so the last two nights we couldn't sleep until 5 am because the speakers and the stage are in front and the party IS in the hotel. Conclusion: if you want to party, beer and it doesn't matter if you bathe, eat, sleep or if you have a clean room, go ahead, you're going to have a great time.

Have stayed in other Selina hostels in Central America so didn't hesitate to book this Selina in Bocas. Wow, not even in the same category as others. Booked a bed in female dorm online, non refundable. I just needed a one night stay before heading back to Costa Rica. I decided after 5 weeks of travel and dorms I would treat myself to a small private room. I took a quick look of room photos on website before upgrading. They happily took my $188 (Cad). This was at 2 pm, room would be ready in 30 mins. I went to use the washroom in the restaurant area, ladies room was in use. I waited a few minutes, door opened. A drunken guy stumbled out ( ladies room). The bathroom garbage was overflowing with dirty toilet paper. It was so gross. After seeing the bathroom I changed my mind about eating there and went elsewhere. When I got to my room I was shocked at the dirty concrete floor and disgusting walls. This place is ridiculously over priced. I have stayed in worse places but never have I paid so much money. Joke is on me.

The photos of the room were not the same as the ones we were promised. The shower was never working as there was no water. When it arrived there was intermittence. Water came out for 15 seconds and another 15 seconds it went back to cut****. When the water came back on, it never got hot. We stayed with my partner for 4 days and 5 nights and this was a daily problem. We stayed on the third floor. We arrived from a beach day at 4pm and they still didn't clean the room and for a change the shower had no water.
