We stayed at the Ecolodge one night before heading out into the jungle for three days, 2 nights with the local guides (********************************************************************) can also highly recommend this tour provider !).
Overall the accommodation was fine for the night. The restaurant at the Ecolodge is absolutely adorable and such a nice place to have some drinks and food (minimum amount for paying with a credit card is 80.000 IDR , so I would recommend to bring some cash !).
Also we were able to store our bags at the Eco lodge while we were out in the jungle ( per night and bag 10.000IDR including a locker for valuables ,also cash ).

This location is perfect! Stunning and looks onto the river. The rooms are spacious and very comfy, with mosquito nets to over the whole bed.
Service at reception was excellent and we were able to keep our luggage there over night for storage while we did an overnight jungle trek. (Highly recommended) I used Izoen, the guide, to help me organize everything needed for an enjoyable hike. Hafiz was also amazing and such a wonderful person to help when I didn’t feel well and took me to the pharmacy nearby. Very convenient, warm people and safe👌
There was just one thing I would have really liked. In the room there is no kettle and coffee/tea cups to make your own coffee and tea in the room. I think this could be a nice addition - since there are such beautiful balconies and porches to sit outside.
Also there was no shower gel or hand soap in shower area. But there was a hand soap by the sink.

The place is very nice, the reception is surprising with a beautiful dining room but our room was basic. I already know that I am in the jungle and what conditions people live in here, but from what they show you to reality there is a big difference. The room has a light bulb and 2 sockets, in the bathroom the toilet did not drain, a decrepit sink and broken tiles in the shower. We went on an excursion to the jungle and it was good with the descent down the river, the guide was very nice. The food is also good and the staff is very friendly. You have to know that you get to this hotel by crossing a suspension bridge that moves

This deserves 4.5 to be honest! Stayed 2 nights for our hike into the rain forest. Perfect location - very warm welcome from Heru - prepping us for our excursions. Monkeys around the grounds were great fun to watch, even if the staff were frustrated by them. The room is very simple, but then it is an eco lodge. We had hot water and electricity and ate well in the restaurant on site. There were other places to eat nearby but the staff provided everything we needed at the Lodge. The cold drinks after our hike were so welcome! My only ****** was that the room could have done with somewhere to unpack and sort/dry some of our kit, but this and the lack of air-conditioning didn't stop us getting a great night's sleep.

Very well placed for activities related to the national park. Simple and comfortable accommodation. Very good restaurant serving local cuisine. It is a large establishment with a large number of visitors but the welcome is efficient but slightly impersonal. Large space above the restaurant to relax and access wifi.

Just spent 6 days in Bukit Lawang at the Eco Lodge, on a yoga retreat. The rooms at the Eco Lodge were excellent, with a view of the river, and groups of monkeys visiting in the trees nearby. The staff at the lodge were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. We trekked into the jungle after yoga on most days and our guides Idriss and Jampo were amazing. They were thoughtful, friendly and dedicated to ensuring that we had the best experience. The experience was so fantastic, that we will be returning next year!

Such a magical accommodation and wildlife experience! Highly recommend visiting and staying for at least a week - delicious food, gorgeous rooms and great service. The guides were incredible and we were able to see every animal we had on our list.
