The Fountain Tea Rooms B&B

An excellent short stay in this B&B situated above a tea room in the village of Bonsall. Check-in is a small window of 2 hours between 2 and 4 pm but it does state that you can organise late check-in if you are stuck. Best to avoid the area around the Heights of Abraham when traveling in at the weekend as it gets very busy. We were there just to check out the area for walking and it suited our needs perfectly. The owner greeted us and made sure we settled in and as a bonus, the tea room was still open to allow us to sample their delicious cakes before unpacking. We went to the Kings Head pub for dinner which is a 3-minute walk up the hill and I must say it was a good choice. Another place with great hospitality with a mix of locals and visitors but more importantly good honest grub. Breakfast was probably one of the best we have ever had at a B&B it was plentiful and there was no compromise on quality, perfect to fuel us for another day on the hills. Thank you for hosting us and giving us good value for money in an excellent location to explore the Peak District National Park.

Just wonderful! Fabulous location. Very helpful and friendly host. Welcoming locals. Great walks. Clean, comfortable room with everything you could possibly need. Good breakfast included. Will definitely return.

Room and welcome was fantastic.bathroom was big and shower top notch 😁tea room downstairs was lovely recommend scones and latte.breakfast was big with local sourced products that was cooked to perfection...well done ladies will definitely be back 😁👍

Owners couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. They went the extra mile to ensure we were warm and cosy as snow fell outside! Wonderfully tasty breakfast

Nicely decorated double room and good bathroom facilities

Lovely little B&B the rooms are comfortable and clean. The bathroom and separate shower is superb. Anne who owns it is lovely and can’t do enough for you. Aside from the lovely cooked breakfast in the morning it’s nice to have a cup of tea and a slice of home baked cakes on your return! Highly recommended all round!

Brilliant place, clean, smart and great staff, nothing was too much trouble.

We stayed just for one night, and was ideal location for visiting peak district. The stay is clean simple accomodation, with a very polite and accomodating host. We visited Chatsworth house which was only about 1/2 hour away.The TV was not a smart TV. Not an issue for us but not so good if netflix etc important to you. Good pub grub at the Kings Head pub, just 5 mins walk away. Big portions though. Could have shared a meal. The attached tea room is where you have your breakfast. Lots of choice - Full breakfast was just the ticket for me. Vegetarian option also available. Personally if we went again I'd get there for 2pm and have one of the many homemade cakes for sale with a cup of tea in the tea room to settle in. I think it closes about 4pm Nice to have private bath and separate shower. Overall, really enjoyed everything. Thanks to the owner
