We’ve stayed in this hotel lots of times but it now needs some refurbishing.
The areas all look tired including the bedroom and bathroom.
We had a superior room overlooking the lake but one window was completely steamed up blocking some of the view.
The toilet wouldn’t flush properly and the corridors are all scruffy.
Staff are very friendly and the breakfast is excellent. Lots of choice.
Parking is easy
So lots of good points. Just needs some TLC

This hotel was was amazing to stay at yes it could do with a fresh lick of paint you can tell the room was freshly cleaned for my stay and some updates need doing like the bathroom but the bed was comfy the staff was great minus the young guy on the front desk I beleieve his name was nyle all he said to me was (name). the bar staff was very friendly especially Andrea lovely women I didnt have food but the service I had was great... In the morning all i could see was rooms being cleaned to the standards that people expect them to be

Stayed last week with some friends, reception staff were amazing we could not fault them. I believe Niall checked us in, he was very efficient and check in was easy. The food was amazing and the rooms were clean and a great standard, will stay again!

I did not arrive until 0200 due to the nature of my business, check in was fast and hassle free. The room was clean, to a higher than average standard (I travel a lot), comfortable, and i slept very well. I stayed 2 days, food was great. Would recommend to all visiting Swansea for business or other.

The rooms were absolutely spotless during our stay, they were cleaned perfectly. Couldn’t fault the food and kitchen at all, food was delicious , quick service. Check in was easy and super quick! Staff were always very helpful and always there if I needed anything! Could not fault this hotel at all.

I had my birthday party at the Mercure on 11th May 2024. It was amazing! The buffet food was excellent with both hot and cold platters and everyone said how tasty the food was. The staff were also amazing and nothing was too much trouble for them. We also stayed overnight in a very comfortable bed with the most amazingly tasty buffet breakfast. We will definitely be back.
