Mid-Town Motel

Absolutely adorable!

Take a trip back in time in this 1950’s motel. The rooms are quaint and very clean. We were in 11. This room had queen size bed which was very comfortable. This motel is located within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants in Boothbay Harbor. Also it is close to the beautiful Botanical Gardens. We only had a few issues. The bathrooms are small (similar to the old 1950’s bathrooms) and the toilet is close to the wall. If you are tall like my husband it is not easy. The second issue was the door to the room was hard to shut. If you are not careful, you may not get it closed all the way if you leave to go somewhere. That being said they have nice storm doors in front of them so they won’t completely be opened to the outside if it were to come open. We spent about two days in Boothbay Harbor in the beginning of May, right before tourist season. We had some chilly days and the room stayed perfectly warm. There is a great keurig in the office with plenty of coffee (my husband enjoyed), fridge and freezer( if you need it), and ice machine.

This lived up to its’ description- a 1950’s feel motel. It was adorable. Great location, shopping & restaurants within walking distance. The warm welcome that stands out- I called to tell them we’d be later than planned- no problem- Marnie (very personable manager) left a letter in the office with our room #. She turned the lights & heat on in the room and left the key on the bureau. While the room was small by today’s standards, it was perfect for the two of us- nice & cozy. Nightstands, bureau, two twin beds. There was a flatscreen tv and usb ports in the bedside lamps- (we appreciated that they didn’t stick to the 50’s that strictly!) The toiletries (shampoo, crema rinse and body gel) had amazing scents- wish I’d written down the brand/scents so I could purchase). All in all, a fabulous stay and we’ll be back!

This motel is exactly what it purports to be, a classic 50’s motel but with a modern, very comfortable bed. I would recommend it.

Cramped tiny room! Needed to be updated. Better locks on door would be good. In room coffee pots. Too much money for what we got.

A very quaint, cute motel. Close to everything but out of the way enough to be quiet. We will definitely stay again. The only recommendation I have is to put a small Keurig of sorts in each room.

A truly unique check-in: a sheet of paper with “Welcome” handwritten, the door is open and your key is in the room. Never saw a single human being. The room was great, rather on the small side, few amenities, but comfortable.

What a cute, nicely renovated place!! It was spotless, beds were comfortable, and quiet location in the middle of a busy village. We loved the walkable location. So close to food and shops.
