The Park Hotel

Had a lovely 4 night stay at the Park hotel as past of a bus tour. The staff are all very friendly, polite and helpful, taking pride in their jobs. You can tell they enjoy working there and always welcomed us with a smile. The restaurant has very comfortable chairs and every meal we had was tasty and well presented. Breakfast piping hot and made to order. Rob worked so hard and after day 1 remembered what we all liked. Our room was very comfortable and clean. There is a lovely outside seating area to use in the evenings along with a comfortable bar lounge and lots of seating in the reception area. Did not manage to get all of the staff names, but Wendy was exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

The property had ample parking, straightforward check in and was clean and tidy. The staff were really helpful

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times. They are renovating so some rooms are far better than others. In general very nice and inexpensive. The bar/restaurant is very good.

We went to The Park for Sunday lunch. We chose it because it’s not far from Aintree Hospital where we were visiting. We had an excellent lunch of roast beef with all the trimmings and two of our party of three had sticky toffee pudding to finish. All the food, without exception, was excellent as were the staff both on reception and in the dining room. The decor etc is lovely. Our only slight ****** was a tv in the dining room which we feel is unnecessary and out of place (although perhaps some guests enjoy that). It certainly won’t stop us from returning. I have no hesitation in recommending The Park for its lovely food and friendly staff. Of course, I have no idea what the rooms are like but the decor

Decent stay, nice little hotel. Clean & staff are very friendly and helpful. bar & food proced have risen a fair bit since last year but this place still has a lot of positives and i’d 100% stay again in the right circumstances. Rooms are clean, free parking is a bonus.

Although staff are friendly, we had the worst night sleep in a hotel I think I have ever had. I have also sent a complaint since we stayed, once via email provided from the website, and when that wasn’t responded too I sent one directly through the contact form on the website. Both haven’t been responded too. We had a lovely evening with our little girl, had a lovely meal and went to our room. Me and my husband where woken up at around 3am by a bunch of woman chattering - normally people settle and it’s fine. But no, they thought it would be great to put music on etc. I went down stairs around 4:30 to tell the night person. He came up and told them to knock it off. They carried on loudly chatting, screeching, laughing etc and finally settled around 6am. Then one of them drunkenly knocks on our door in mistake. After having no sleep we went to breakfast and the night person asked if they had stopped and we said no, and they even knocked on our room and we’d had no sleep. Apparently there had been a dance group stay that night in multiple rooms obviously next to our family room. So they were in and out of each other’s rooms. And the ones we heard where grown women so would think they’d have some common sense to be quiet but no heard about all their drunken drug fuelled adventures over their lives and god knows what else. And yes, we could hear everything. Feel the hotel could have done more about this, coming up and checking once and while! Or even responding to our complaint would have been nice.

Overall very happy, staff were friendly and engaging and helped me understand where things are as I'm not from the local area so was great to have a nice chat with them about things to do.

Unfriendly staff, not welcoming at all. Window in room didn’t close properly which was not good on one of the coldest, windiest nights in March!! Asked for someone to look at it while we were out, nothing was done to rectify the issue! Beds and pillow’s uncomfortable. Hotel rooms very tired in need of update! Will not be staying again!!!!
