Borg El Arab Hotels with Bars

30 year old hotel which was sold because it was making a loss. The sea water is very clean, but you can't swim far out because of reefs, algae and strong waves. Therefore only in 3 small sections. Beach loungers are comfortable, but the rotten canopy on the umbrellas lets in plenty of sun. The catering is greatly overpriced, such as sandwiches or drinks. The buffets in the morning and evening are of average quality, but everything is very bland and tasteless. If these are not booked at the same time, you pay four times the value here as well. The main pool is a good size, but the sound is loud all day long from old, broken speakers. The water looks musty because probably too little chlorine is used. In the evenings, loud children's music is played on the terrace around 24 hours. For cost reasons, regular power failures are not completely compensated for with generators, so that the air conditioning does not work.

The location is slightly remote, about 30 minutes drive from the beach. The internal environment is very good, the large swimming pool is great, there is a football field and parent-child activity space. The breakfast is a bit thin, but overall it is ok

Very nice clean hotel located close to Borg airport. With good road links to Alexandria and Cairo. The rooms a spacious and clean and all rooms have a balcony. The food is very nice and is reasonably priced and all of the staff are friendly and always willing to help. I have visited the hotel frequently over the last 10 years and it is always a pleasure to arrive and sad to leave it really is not just a place it is a mood
