Great hotel access, clean and updated room, lots of plug-in access for both of us this stay, very comfortable mattress, great sitting area/chairs, easy wide parking spaces, good dining and birding access from the staff, ...we SO will stay here again! It's marked in our Google maps now!

Rooms were clean with good heating and cooling. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a nice pool area for bbqs and cookouts which accomodates groups of 20-30 people. Parking is very convenient - right in front of your room. The inn is also close to many of the sites of Borrego Springs.

Old school Inn that delivers a quality experience. Suite was clean and well appointed. Price was a little high but you are in Borrego Springs. We all slept well and were pleasantly surprised by the experience. If we are in Borrego Springs again, we will stay at the Stanlunds Inn...no doubt.

Best people in the motel industry we've ever done business with. We've stayed before and will again. Clean, well maintained older buildings (with good flow thru ventilation) adds a special charm to the vacation experience. Custom service made us feel extra appreciated.

Great location with friendly and welcoming reception. Room was spacious and had a decent kitchen with coffee maker and fridge. Property lights off at 9PM so stargazing was just amazing. Only minor downside was pool closed and WiFi not working.

The value was good for the price. The dimly lit room had older furnishings, almost a full-sized refrigerator/freezer, and a microwave. We did not use the AC, so cannot comment on it. The bed was firm. The small bathroom was well lit, but there was almost no counter space. The small shower had a good shower head, but it was placed very low. No breakfast was offered, so we went to the Red Ocotillo, where the food was good but the service was slow. We had a good dinner at Carlee's, but the service was slow.

Everything about Stanlunds Inn is lovely - the owners, the motel, the view and the area. We immediately felt at home and were so impressed that we added an extra night's stay to the two we had booked. Hope to return.

They may have nicer rooms but I wouldn't stay in # 17. For $154 a night I expected something nice and this wasn't. It was small and dark even with the lights on. And the one light you see at the top of the picture is a bare bulb although it doesn't look like one. But the worst part was the room was so noisy I couldn't sleep. The heater was incredibly loud even on the low fan setting and I eventually I had to turn it off. But then the frig is right in front of the foot of the bed and is also very noisy. And outside a generator kept turning on and off. I'm so glad I only booked one night. On a positive note, the man who checked me in was very nice and the room was clean.
