You may want to bring a broom and dustpan since Borrego Springs is dusty especially after hiking. Check lights and doors are in working order as well as checking amenities are available before the office closes at 5 pm.

Wanted to like this place. Great location, off season so not crowded, lovely pools, cool schtick, nice but old room. The staff was generally put out by our presence, the bed was old and saggy, a fan started mid day and progressively worse as the day/night went on resulting in a sleepless night and a lousey next day. Wrecked by vacatgion. Called, texted:no responses and still two days later no resolution to my request for refund of one night. Wanted to like this place. But never again.

Easy stay in Anza Borrego - comfy bed, climate controlled, mini-fridge plus all the basics. Not the Ritz, but a good stopover to enjoy the local scenery. A few car charging stations would be an appreciated addition.

shower gel was empty but insignificant with overall cleanliness, comfort and spacious room.
restaurant is limited but food was very good. New "kiosk" ordering was challenging but help was readily available.

Before I say anything else DO NOT BOOK THROUGH AGODA! This company totally misrepresented the property, and when I requested a cancellation they said that the hotel would have to approve it. The hotel was never contacted and AGODA walked off with all my money and their booking fee. Instead of a room we got a tent! No security, no floor, no chair: just a night table and a bed 4" off the floor. There was no way to secure our belongings, prevent theft or the intrusion of snakes, coyotes or other creatures. The entrance flap couldn't even be secured to prevent it from blowing into the room. My wife, an experienced camper, refused to spend a single night in this place. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE.
