The Lord Grey Hotel

The place is not represented well play the photos. It is on a run down estate and the place looks run down from the outside. There are only three parking spaces available. There is not a 24hour reception, there is no reception at all, it is self checkin using key boxes which we didn’t realise until we arrived then couldn’t get in touch with hotel staff to gain access. The room smelled. When we came to leave we could not physically get out and there were no emergency exit available which could have been a disaster in a fire. We could not get in touch with any staff when we were locked in. Eventually we did and they said it had never been an issue before but judging by the damage around the door it looked as though there had been lots of previous issues with the lock.

The bedroom was very dirty microwave was absolutley dirty the fridge had mould in the back there was no Alexa as advertised and the room looked nothing like the pictures and the kettle was full of limescale we booked this for 4 people as the pictures we seen the room was really big but instead it was cramped and all pushed into a little area will not be staying again room overall was just absolutley disgusting what a waste of money

Converted house on an industrial area not very welcoming

Awful. Not a proper hotel and very expensive for what was essentially a room in a house for 5 nights. Located on a industrial estate so not even nice surroundings. Will not be returning and would certainly not recommend.

Very clean, safe and new. Comfortable bed. Perfect for short stay. Owners very friendly and accommodating!

Great stay for a couple of nights, there was my partner and I. The rooms were well equipped for a small room. The cleanliness was very good. The owner was friendly and there for help if you like but not too much. Overall great stay

Owner and wife very nice. The property is in the middle of an industrial estate and looked like a building site at the side of the property. I assume it could be the impending restaurant, which is coming soon as advertised on the main gate, but long way to go if that is the case. Room was compact, clean, very warm, had a kettle, microwave, mini fridge, Alexa, double bed and a bunk bed, and a metal bar attached to the wall as a wardrobe.

The hotel is relatively new , but the owners made a fantastic effort. The rooms are compact , but have everything you could want. Microwave Fridge Amazon smart Alexa device Netflix on the tv These little touches made a big difference Food There was a bar food type menu, I had the burger and fries for £7.50 I struggled to eat it all it was that big and nice. Great value. There was free bottled water in the fridge and a free toothbrush. This is not a luxury romantic type of hotel. But if like me , you needed a comfortable room for the night it is perfect.
