Hotel Belveder

The hotel is outside towns on the top of the hill overlooking a beautiful village and palm groves. It may seems that the hotel is TOO far away from everything but it's not. There a many small restaurants down the hill and it's just 5-7 minutes' walk. The main crossroads there you can take a bus to almost every village is 10 minutes' walk from the hotel. The staff is excellent and will help you with everything including taxi to the airport at night.

Our room was large and functional without much character. The WI-FI was excellent better than anywhere else we’d stayed in Algeria. Breakfasts were adequate but some fruit would have been nice, it looked lovely in the markets and it was strawberry season. On the second night we tried to get some dinner in the hotel. The restaurant didn’t open until 8pm and was completely empty. There was no menu and the room was soulless so we left and didn't bother, It’s a large hotel with wide circular corridors to the rooms, there seemed to be very few people staying in it. It’s situated on the top of a hill and our room had great views of the town. Ghardaia is a wonderful and interesting place well worth visiting.

This hotel has been completely renovated/rebuilt in the last year and is not the same place as in older reviews. The rooms are modern, clean, good beds, good bathroom. And my room had a pretty good view of some of the M’Zab valley. The problem is that there is no a**osphere at all. All felt very empty and no soul. A great place for business travellers or conferences but not for tourists like me. Next time I will stay in a maison d’hôte in a palmerie. Because there will be a next time - Ghardaia is simply stunning!

Good hotel decor. Clean. Polite staff. Good city views. Good wi-fi. Good breakfast. Poor drainage in bathrooms causing flood. Parking toobfR away: not convenient. Would stay again. Breakfast was reasonable. This was off-season, and saw very few other guests.

Incredible lobby, with huge Oriental rug and chandelier. Wallpaper in whole hotel is beautiful fabric pattern. Rooms were fine, breakfast simple. This place is very large, but seemed to only have a few guests.

Excellent hotel atop a hill wth great views of Gardaia. Rooms are humongous with a fridge, TV and hot water. Breakfas is adequate if you are not a big eater. Checkin is seamless and wifi is good. Most people need to stay in Gardaia for 1 night 2 days to see all the sights. You also do get 3 police cars escorting you from airport hotel. The locally based travel agency is Izelwan Travel Agency does an excellent job of arranging tours to Gardaia and other parts of Algeria
