Norfolk Royale Hotel

just got back from a marvellous 8 days at the Norfolk Royale hotel.Had room 223 which overlooked the front entrance.It was very spacious in both the bathroom and the bedroom.The food was excellent and so was the service. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. All in all it was a very pleasant holiday with Alfa travel

Lovely stay friendly and helpful staff.. Room comfortable.. Breakfast was very good, Only downside was the pool and changing rooms, could definitely do with an upgrade.

Parking was a joke, beware paying more than cost of your room. The hotel on booking provided an online car parking service to use which I did then use to pre-pay. On arrival at the hotel (and subsequently over the phone) I enquired with reception if I needed to check in the car despite your licence plate being scanned on entry and pre-registered on the website, I was told NO you didn’t on both occasions. I was however was served a PCN fine by post for the stay despite being parked within my booked hours. Unfortunately due to personal circumstances I didn’t pick up the letter till just after the 2 week “appeal” window and was being charged £100. The company Parkmaven who operate the car park beyond the 2 week window provide no phone number or email address, attempting to stonewall you into paying. I wrote to their head office (with proof of delivery) and with proof of the legitimate stay and received no answer but for a dept collection demand for £170 just over a week later. All I can say is beware parking at this hotel, ignore what the staff tell you and make sure you’ve ticked all your boxes and registered the cars stay. Well located though

Well what can you say about NRH, superb, as always, second or third time we have stayed here with Union conference, Food, rooms and staff members all ticking our box's, special mention Reddi reception, Sarah Breakfast and Emma house keeping (She has a future) Nothing was too much trouble for the hotel, and it was a pleasure to return, and we may take a break in the summer to catch up with Bournemouth which appears to be upping it's game, THANK YOU NRH!

Having read previous reviews we went with some misgivings but they were totally unfounded. The hotel is elegant and stylish in an excellent location only minutes walk from the town centre and pier. Having travelled with Alfa, we were met by friendly and efficient staff in reception and our luggage was all portered to our room. This was large with a very clean and comfortable kingsize bed, two leather armchairs, a desk, a fridge and a large TV. The bathroom was long and clean with a walk-in shower, a large deep bath, wash basin and toilet. Towels were clean and soft and changed when required. The restaurant was light and airy and the food was good with a selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt etc and a full English breakfast if required. Dinner was three courses with a reasonable choice of menu and a special each day which could be pre-ordered at breakfast. The restaurant staff were pleasant and helpful and a special mention for Jordan who was attentive to all our needs and remembered what we wanted by the end of the stay. There was a heated indoor pool which we didn't use but other guests said it was very pleasant. Each evening had Bingo with the barman bringing his own style to the calling. This was followed by excellent entertainment each evening and it was good to renew acquaintance again with Karyn Curtis (formerly Morant) who we got to know well at Alfa's previous hotel, The Devon Towers. All in all we had an excellent stay and would thoroughly recommend this hotel. We look forward to staying there again on a future trip with Alfa.

I am so confused by the negative reviews. The hotel was amazing. We stayed for 4 nights this week and it was a wonderful experience. The pool was lovely, room was comfy and breakfast was great. Staff remembered what we liked to drink and eat and gave great recommendations for where to eat. The staff were really friendly and engaged with us and our son. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We have stayed at this property every time we go to bournmouth it is very convenient to everything and very welcolming the room we had was a family room but if anything to complain about the beds we’re a little hard the parking is very good all under the hotel which gives peace of mind all in all another good stay and definalty be going back to this hotel.

The property was nice and in a very good location with easy access to the centre. We checked out early because the bed was rock hard and not good to sleep on. Apart from that everything else was really good. The staff cannot do enough for you and the hotel was clean and tidy

This hotel is a great choice for all the attractions of Bournemouth, only a few minutes walk to the gardens, shops & beach. The staff are friendly & the public areas of the hotel are well kept, welcoming & cosy. Our room was clean & spacious but the decor was tired that’s all. All the bedroom doors had a lovely Christmas bow on them which was a nice touch The downside of our stay was we were on the third floor & the lift was out of order, as two middle aged ladies we found this challenging, particularly carrying our cases up the three flights of stairs! We would stay again but request a lower floor just incase.
