Marsham Court Hotel

Marsham hotel is in a very good location with nice views from the hotel Staff are very helpful However I found the rooms are not clean enough and the mattress is not at all comfortable The fridge in the room started making sounds on and off through out the night, it being so close to the bed disturbed our sleep

Lovely hotel, great staff, especially Elyisha, pat and Saxon, felt welcomed on day 1 . would recommend, poolside brilliant and location excellent, Swanage and Poole worth a visit and the chine gardens is a beautiful walk, amazing tropical plants to see.

As a disabled visitor I was so pleased to find a hotel which understands and supplies necessary equipment in selected rooms. The food was good, the staff exceptional and made our first holiday away from home very impressive. On arrival in car park on day 1 our name was posted on a space and remained all the time. An excellent choice for both able and not so able, thankyou

The Marsham Court was one of the most expensive hotels we have stayed in, but failed to meet the expected high standards. We travelled 300 miles from home and on arrival were interested to have a look at their a la carte menu for dinner. Unlucky! as we hadn't booked 24 hours in advance, that wouldn't be possible. No question of checking if there was a table, we were only offered a bar snack. We also established that the hotel doesn't have an a la carte menu anyway, only a table d'hote. We later realised the reason as the hotel was occupied by coach parties (who no doubt paid very much less than we did). The lifts were old and slow but did work. Our room was very nice with a balcony and excellent sea view. The bathroom was all white and austere but clean. The beds were OK but the pillows were both Dunlopillo and not very comfortable. There is no air-con but although originally missing, a fan was readily produced. Unfortunately, the room was made hotter by the heated towel rail that could not be switched off. Breakfast was on a buffet basis, reasonably well stocked and of good quality. The proudly displayed 'Chef's Homemade Jam ' would however not have threatened the prizes at any local fete. Staff were in general not very helpful or friendly and were not forthcoming with useful suggestions about local restaurants or places to visit . Parking was not a problem during our stay as most guests came by coach, but presumably when there are more independent travellers, could not accommodate all guests. The cost is included when booking direct, but an extra when using travel websites.

Fantastic place too stay,had a week relaxing by the pool and visiting the beautiful beaches and parks.Hotel staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble Sea view rooms overlooking the pier and beaches and across the bay.Hotel also has a large carpark which is very secure.

I arranged a function to celebrate 40 years of Twinning between Verwood & Oree d`Anjou France. 64 guests attending. From arranging the event with Ashlie right through to sitting for dinner the experience was superb. How refreshing to have great customer service! Well done Marsham Court, outstanding.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel, some areas have been refurbished but a very long way to go before it’s done.

The hotel is looking a little tired and dated, but the room was comfortable and clean, the staff are very helpful and friendly, I will definitely stay here again.

The people at the hotel where very friendly and welcoming, The only downsides to this hotel was that the rooms smelt mouldy and need to have more updated toilets as we had a plumbing issue which caused a leak but they was very quick on letting us move rooms. the rooms could also do with having aircon fitted ASAP as it was very hot in the rooms
