A very easy stay at Durley Dean, myself, my three daughters and the two dogs all shared a family room. The family room had a very comfortable double bed and a set of bunk bed.

The hotel is a bit old, domestic three-star level, but still clean and tidy. very quiet. It is about 100 to 200 meters away from the sea, which is very close, but it needs to go down a small slope of about 50 meters. The weather in July is still a bit cold, and it is impossible to go to the sea. The city is very small, turn right out of the hotel for about 1 kilometer and you will see the landmark of the Ferris wheel. It is not far to go to Old harry rocks and Durdle door within half an hour and 1 hour.

We paid standard double room. Realised given a compact double room. Hotel totally run down, garden overgrown ****s and grassy. Indoor pool was poorly and dirty. Room pillows uncomfortable, hot and smelly from the kitchen, had to open windows seagulls was noisy we us up. Air con charging £10 (£50 deposit) . Good size shower and water pressure. Has the amenities in the room. Time to change the hotel managers.
Hotel feels dirty carpets , poor finishing with paints, chips wood. Breakfast just low qualifies, no varieties , just too basic.

Stayed here for one night, the room was okay, the manager was great! It was only a bed for the night. But now after 5 days of calling/emailing, I still haven't received my safety deposit despite it should of been in my account 5 days ago! Always the same answer 'it will be done tomorrow' but nothing!! Now the staff are saying it could take til next Monday for the £75 safety deposit back! Absolute pain and no apology either! Seemed annoyed that I wanted MY money back! I would avoid this hotel and never use it again.

Hotel drab and dated, front door broken permanently open for the two days of our stay, so freezing cold in reception area Out room was on 1st floor we constantly had the smell of cigarette smoke in our room spoke to reception on both days about this issue nothing done, clearly guests are allowed to smoke in the building, which is against the law this ruined our stay the smell was very soon the corridors I would not recommend this hotel to anyone They get you to park in the hotel car park charge you £15 and then tell you it’s free to park on the street all around the hotel

Greeted by a very miserable receptionist Carpet in main areas were needing a hoover Bedroom was very small with stains on the walls - mould around the sink - rusty soap tray in shower - very thick dust on top of wardrobe. Checked out immediately and went a different hotel !!!
