Booked as a last minute, lovely hotel.. Reception staff could not of been more helpful. We got upgraded to a sea view, and the room was spacious & lovely. .. there’s a lovely grandness to the hotel , so I felt sad that the smallest of Maintenon job that I noticed let it down, for example , the conference room opposite the reception curtain we’re hanging off it’s rail. So simple to rectify I’m sure.
Bar drinks, VERY overly priced .
Didn’t use the Spa as closed at 6pm .
I would return to this hotel., as stated the reception ladies were smiley, & helpful.

The subject hotel is sitting cliff front near the ocean, natural breeze with easy access to the beach below the cliff. Breakfast and Dinner offers wide spread choice. Room are newly renovated, tasteful design and spacious. Front desk staff name Kelly is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

The hotel is charming, it is tired but that is part of the charm and makes the hotel affordable with character. Beautiful sea views and large rooms which is nice. Clean and warm.The staff are warm and helpful. The breakfast is great, the evening dinner needs a bit of focus.

The Carlton hotel was everything we could wish for. I took a group of 40 people and everyone was extremely pleased with the hospitality and the facilities on offer. The staff/food/room and the spa facilities were amazing and with the help of the hotel events manager Mark who made this 5 day break possible. We will definitely be returning to the Carlton hotel again (soon I hope). If you are looking for a base for Bournemouth then the Carlton hotel should be top of your list. Thank you Mark and all your staff for a fantastic 5 days.

Great location, great breakfast lovely room. Fantastic friendly staff especially the front of house team. Josephina fixed out booking issue without her control on our arrival, in a efficient and friendly way. I also left my MP3/Headphone on departure and once again returned even though the Royal Mail made the process awkward. 11 out of ten for the effort. I will return and for other's your in good hands. We recently held our wedding at the Carlton hotel in Bournemouth. Its location, staff, food and atmosphere collectively made our special day one that we we always cherish with sensational memories. The whole day was flawlessly executed, with a special mention to Mark, the wedding organiser, whose professionalism, passion and attention to detail beamed throughout the day. The function rooms benefit from period high ceilings with stunning South facing sea views, so even if the weather is moderate, one still benefits from the abundance of natural light. Every single guest had fantastic feedback and had a brilliant experience, so again,a huge THANK YOU.!!

This hotel has fabulous sea view rooms and the bath I had in my room I could fully lay down in! It’s a lovely hotel, with high ceilings and a grand staircase. I really enjoyed my stay and I will come back to this hotel again.

Stayed 2 nights in an executive sea view room, Bed, Breakfast & Dinner. Absolutely great hotel, the food is fantastic, fresh, hot, tasty and plenty of it. Service from all staff exceptional and very friendly. Room was a great size, clean and very comfortable. Used pool facilities, all lovely and clean. Small shame the Sauna was out of use. Fantastic location to walk down to promenade. Only complaint is Car park at back of hotel is quite pricey. Love this hotel, stayed before and will definitely stay again.
