Everything is perfect, except that you can hear the steps upstairs clearly! This is huge for a light sleeper.

We booked a one night stay at The Green House as we were booked for an event at the BIC which is only 10 mins walk away. On arrival the parking was easy, even though we were late afternoon. The house sits in lovely grounds with trees and an established landscaped garden area. The greeting at reception was brilliant and the process of checking in made even more easy by doing this online before we arrived. The room was lovely. We stayed in the English Oak room which had a nice view of (we assume) an oak tree. A nicely presented room with an ensuite that was very nice too. There was no road noise and there was no sound from anyone else adjacent in any direction. A very good sleep. The morning breakfast was good value and very nice. The selection was wide no matter what your chosen breakfast may be. All told, the stay was excellent and we will definitely make a return visit if we need to stay again in the Bournemouth area.

What a joy, finding a hotel where tradtional qualities of comfortable accommodation, a fair price, great food, and polite helpful staff all still exist. Ideally located, just a few minutes walk from the Promenade, the Green House is a haven for peace and quiet, although I can understand that it could get a little boisterous if there's a wedding party there, or some other sort of event on. Elegantly furnished, with a comfortable lounge area and well-equipped bar that's open 24-hours, and doesn't charge stupid prices, the Arbor Restaurant serves high-quality food, and was always busy when we stayed. The waiting staff are attentive, and nothing seems too much bother for them. There was an unfortunate mix up with our starters on our first night , which caused a short delay to us being served, but we were in no great hurry, the manager was beside himself with embarrassment, and we were offered a lovely cheese plate by way of an apology. Unnecesary, but gratefully accepted. The Beds are comfortable, and the roll-top baths in the bedrooms! You just have to fill your's up and climb in, sinking down to let the body soak and muscles relax. If you get the impression that my wife and I enjoyed our brief stay, a birthday treat for me, and would recommend the hotel wholeheartedly, then you'd be absolutely right. Go on, find an excuse, treat yourself.

A quick one night stay over. Attentive and friendly staff. Nice clean room. Comfy bed, though a tad soft for me. Food was very good. I had a bar meal and breakfast. This will be a preferred choice for me for future trips.

I spent a long time reading reviews trying to find a good place to stay in Bournemouth. and ultimately settled on trying The Green House, with their deal package that included a credit toward dinner in the restaurant. Unfortunately The Green House and the restaurant were a disappoin**ent. I stayed in one of the smallest rooms and it was just ok. There's no air flow, no fan, no A/C, so the only thing to do to cool the room off (which is generally hot and stuffy, even in April) is open the (unscreened) window... there's a single blackout blind, so if you want to sleep and have any airflow, you're out of luck. Plus you'll hear all the outside noise. The bed was springy feeling and a bit old, not super comfortable. For dinner in the restaurant, I had an early reservation as I'd just arrived from the US and knew I'd be jetlagged and want an early night. No one was around when I arrived for my reservation and I had to ask the bartender if they could serve me, although I had verified my reservation with the woman at check-in. I ordered a mocktail and was served (and charged for) a cocktail, which I discovered later. This meant I had leg cramps and disrupted sleep later that night. The food at dinner was also just ok, not really worth the price, and for the bill, I told the server that I had a credit as part of the deal I'd purchased, but she said, "They'll sort that out at the front desk," and charged me the full price anyhow. I thought this was odd but was too tired to deal with it. At checkout the next morning, the woman at the desk knew nothing about the need for a credit; I had to bring it up. Then she had to go dig around for the receipts, expected me to have it, and proceeded to charge me further while trying to give me a refund, and acted like it was my fault because she was trying to be quick about it so I could make my train. Everyone was polite enough, but I don't think I dealt with a single member of staff who wasn't incompetent. I would stay elsewhere when coming to Bournemouth next time.

Seemless check in with friendly reception staff. Fresh milk on arrival and personal touch to show us to our room which was nice. The hotel is warm and welcoming but also modern, with a great seating area outside. The guest room was lovely, we had one of the deluxe rooms with a roll top bath. The rooms do feel quite luxurious with thick fluffy towels and the comfiest biggest bed ever!. 10 min walk to the sea front and town centre, fully stocked onsite bar, full breakfast menu with a variety of options and great quality, ample on site free parking with electric car charging options. A couple of ******* but didn't affect our stay, the remote control for the TV was dirty, shower head leaked so reduced the pressure, no smart TV.

Spent five nights here, while my wife was at a conference. The hotel is calm, quiet, well-presented with a very professional and guest focussed staff. The jewel in the crown, however, is the kitchen. This is the only place I have stayed, in many years, where I would willingly eat in the hotel dining-room. The menu is quite short but beautifully cooked, presented and served. With a simple but more than adequate wine list, a well-organised and efficient maitre-de and as much care and attention as you could wish for. One for the book!

Lovely hotel, great location. All the staff were very friendly and informative and helpful. The room (and all the public areas) were all very clean and smart. The bar was great to sit in for a pre-dinner cocktail, before we walked onto town. We had a “cosy double” room… it was perfect for us, but the bed was a small double & would be too much of a squeeze if you’re tall.
