I've stayed here before and the staff is always very courteous. However, during my last stay I couldn't get through to the front desk by phone for almost an hour. I was on a work call so I couldn't go down. When I did reach the manager to ask for a late check out, her tone and attitude was a bit sour. I was surprised because this never happened before with staff. The hotel is almost immaculate and the price is very reasonable. Good location and quiet.

This is our second stay at this facility and we will definitely be staying at this location for our next visit to the area. The hotel had several large groups during our stay and the staff were tending the desk while others were delivering toweling to guestrooms. Jason was the first staff member we met at check in. He was very attentive and even though people were crowding the desk making demands, he never waivered in his professional and pleasing manner assuring the other guests he would be with them as soon as he had taken care of me. (Some of the guest could have taken a lesson from the staff in how to treat people) Our next encounter was the following morning with Heather at breakfast. Once again large groups do not seem to phase the staff here at this location. Keeping everything stocked and tables wiped was done with fluidity and ease. The morning of our check out we had the pleasure of speaking with Tevin and Evelyn two more exceptional staff members who had taken the time to engage in conversation and insure that our stay was a pleasant one. As a former IHG manager for 24 years you can have the newest building, the most amenities and more to offer your guest, but if you do not have the right staff those things will not matter. Ok, now I am doing something I seldom do - pen the review while still in the actual room. This is a rather newer property that is being WELL maintained. The exterior grounds are manicured well, plenty of exterior and working lights, ample parking, (there were 2 buses) during my stay. I saw at least 3 luggage push racks, and a welcome beverage (tea/coffee) station upon check-in. The front desk was pleasant, swift, and welcoming. The elevator is fast. The hallways are adorned with a vibrant carpeting and lighting. Once inside the rooms we were met with a bright and trendy décor. I most enjoyed the tiered window treatment, circular mirror, and nightlight in the latrine - nice touch. The shower area was neat, clean, and hot - after a long day spent driving and shopping! Speaking of shopping - the hotel is located in the REAR of the WOODMORE TOWN CENTER, and the Wegmans grocery store. (If you have never been - it's a must see) The metro station and Redskins stadium are in very close proximity too, It was rather quiet property outside of the daytime cleaning crew - sanitizing rooms, vacuuming, etc. The gym is decent. One only downside is the seating space in the lobby / breakfast area isn't really that plentiful. Daily from 0600-1000 are the posted times for breakfast. There was a nice fruit selection (blueberries, apples, oranges, and bananas), cold & hot cereal, eggs (two varying ways), and some other items. The room has a frig & microwave. We felt safe here as we walked about the property at varying times of the day or night. Would book here again and again if in the area.

Its a great place to spend your holidays with your family. The bonfire, indoor pool, accommodating staff and the room was nice. The room is big and feels your at home.

The hotel is similar to the domestic high-end fast chain brand, the room layout is reasonable, the facilities are advanced, and the bathroom mirror is also equipped with Bluetooth speakers. Very clean and the service is very intimate. The parking fee is 8$. In fact, it was discovered that McDonald's next door, cvs should be able to park for free. But it is said that Maryland is not safe, but it is only a little closer to the hotel.

Clean and enjoyable

I had such a great experience at the Doubletree by Hilton at Laurel! My room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The service was top notch! Natasha took really good care to answer my questions and made sure my stay was amazing! Always a smiling face and very professional! I love great customer service so will definitely be back!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is an excellent property, far exceeding our expectations. Very nice King room, VERY clean throughout, and very comfortable. The whole property was neat and clean. Would/will stay again without a doubt. Kudos to the management and staff. The only small negative was related to the breakfast, thinking they need a new cook. The pork sausage on the morning we stayed was burned to a crisp. The nice ”singing staff person” who was manning the breakfast even brought out another pan of the links but they were as bad or even worse than the first. Come on, pick up your game there a bit please. The cinnamon rolls were fresh and hot and gooey just they way they should be. The coffee was hot and fresh. Overall a 5-star stay for which we were very thankful!

I’m surprised at the reviews of past customers moaning about the way “maid” service is managed here. I think people are selectively hearing when they check in and/or fail to read the placard in the bathroom that expressly tells you that if you want fresh towels, bring your old ones to the front for exchange. Methinks management has had quite a few towels “walk” and this is a method for controlling inventory. We were told at check in that the hotel is an extended stay property and we would NOT have daily room “maid” service and since we are able and know how to do so, we made the bed ourselves and we were fine with it. It was actually quite painless. The room was quiet, the beds very comfy. Kitchenette well stocked with utensils for an extended stay though we didn’t need to use it much. The Guest Center with (free to use!) washers and dryers was a pleasant surprise and the “honor system” to purchase snacks was a nice touch. Free coffee and juice much appreciated. We found all staff we encountered unfailingly polite and helpful. My only gripe: we paid $25 to have our dog stay with us. The dog walk area out back was strewn with broken bottles, so we had to be very careful where we stepped. And a few male guests sat in their vehicles out back to drink and smoke at night; this created a bit of an intimidating atmosphere. Note to management: you are pet friendly, and if I’m paying to keep my pet, you need to provide a clean & safe area to take him, that’s why I can rate you only 4/5.

After a very sunny day at the beach, we were happy to get to the hotel. The front desk staff was very pleasant and they offered a choice of cookies as a small welcome. We chose oatmeal cookies and were surprised by how delicious they were. As a tea drinker, I was also happy to see an excellent choice of Bigelow teas in the lobby. Our suite was very comfortable, with a living room that was separate from the bedroom. Everything was simple and comfortable and very clean. Breakfast buffet was included, and is served on weekends til 10:30. This helped us have a relaxing morning. The choices were quite typical, but somewhat more variety than is often the case (waffles, fresh fruit, oatmeal, cold cereal, bacon, sausage, etc). More important, the scrambled eggs tasted fresh and delicious, the muffins also tasted fresh and delicious, the orange juice tasted especially good, and I was again happy to have a choice of teas made with hot water that was in a container that was not previously used for coffee. (If that sounds like an odd statement, you probably are not a tea drinker.) We never stayed at a Country Inn and Suites before, and now we will again.
