The owner was great. This is an older farm property in a farming area. We enjoyed it as it was different than the usual hotel stays. Would go again if travling in the area again

The Room & Facilities: We had booked a double ensuite room, both the room and bathroom were clean, tidy and inviting. There was a little sofa, kettle, cups, tea, coffee, etc.... a booklet informing of breakfast options and things to do nearby. Inside the wardrobe there were supplies for every weather occasion; a fan, a heater, extra blankets, an ironing board, an iron, all the things you could need. The view from our window was over the courtyard and the farm buildings beyond where we enjoyed watching the birds in the morning. Breakfast: We were treated to a delicious breakfast in the morning, James opted for tea and eggs benedict with smoked salmon. I was fussy and chose parts of the full English (Hash brown, bacon and scrambled egg on homemade toast). This set us up nicely for our onward journey. Wildlife: The courtyard to the B&B was occupied by a couple of barn swallows when we arrived, a couple of bats when we came back from dinner and a flock of Jackdaws in the morning to join the barn shallows. We also heard a tawny owl when we arrived back from dinner. I’m sure if we had spent more time there, there would have been much more wildlife to see and hear. What a great place staff are A1 able to point me in the right direction for local walks chatty and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast freshly cooked and of great quality enough to keep you going for the day would highly recommend

Chosen totally at random for a birthday getaway weekend break. Lovely, charming farmhouse B&B. Janice and Caleb were very welcoming hosts, even booking dinner for us at a local pub. Lovely, immaculately clean room with a lovely en suite shower. Plenty of refreshments supplied in the room. Very relaxing stay and delicious hearty breakfast, beautifully presented. We loved our weekend break and will definitely be back for a return visit, and to do some walking! Hadrian's wall a 5 minute walk away. Quiet unspoiled location, with lovely hosts. Highly recommended

We had a lovely one night stay here before starting out on our walk along Hadrian's Wall. Very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful room and delicious breakfast. Pack lunch excellent as well. Thanks Janice and Caleb.
