Nova Inn Resort

Shower was cold. Asked to switch rooms and that shower was cold too so I never got a hot shower.

- No cups in the bathroom for drinking water -No soap dish in the shower -No electricity in bedside table power bars. -No daily room cleaning or towel service offered or provided -Smoke alarm went off at 3:15 am. No smoke in room and no response from front desk -No one manning front desk at night or in the morning to speak to in person.

I love the Nova inn, it is freshly refurbished and very modern for very cheap

Prime location - for the price you can’t do better. The rooms are updated, modern, and have amenities comparable to a Hilton. The value is unbeatable. And the rooms are cleaner than modern big name hotels. I’ll never to big name again in this area. Louis has outstanding customer service; I had a small issue with my room and he promptly not only made in right but gave me such an incredible experience afterwards. Truly rare today. You’d be silly to not book here.

a great place for your guests or if you like us displaced due to house problems.....we were surprised to find that we had a full kitchen,twin beds a living room with a nice tv the kitchen had everything we needed and a full size frdge......the place was super clean has a very nice pool and great service a super gre at value

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful hotel resort for 17 days in February. The service was excellent and the coffee was to look forward to every morning. The staff was very friendly and professional. The room was very clean and newly refurbished. We look forward to saying there again. Ron & Tania Muskoka, Ontario

We rented a unit with a full kitchen for 19 days. The day we checked-in, we were surprised to learn that they charged our credit card for the full $4,000 on the first day without giving us a receipt. The complex consists of 104 units in 4 concrete 3-story buildings. It is under new ownership that is making many improvements including all new roof, all new windows, fresh paint inside and out, and all new plumbing fixtures. All parking lots have been seal-coated and re-painted. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable with all new beds, sheets, and towels. The new pool and area looks great, but the pool is not open as it is waiting for a final inspection, The standard under-the-window hotel heater/AC units have seen better days, and some are pretty noisy. Some towel bars are rusty. There is no elevator. All the staff and cleaning crew are very friendly and helpful. Some of the rooms are still under construction. There is no free breakfast. The kitchen did not have a microwave, a coffee maker, a single piece of silverware, a pot, pan, utensil, or anything else you would need to make a kitchen useful. The cleaning staff was able to find some things for us, including a microwave. We were told the new management's policy is to not provide anything, since there is no dishwasher. We spent the first day at Goodwill and the Dollar Store buying utensils. About a week into our stay, there was a defect in the bathroom wiring causing no light in the bathroom for 2 days. Maintenance was unable to fix it, so we moved to another unit. The new unit had no hot water; I had to reset the breaker myself; the toilet paper holder is broken. The TV was defective and was promptly replaced. In both bathrooms, the hot and cold water are swapped. The sink faucets are loose on the sinks and rotate freely. The toilet tanks are not tightened down properly and tip back and forth. After almost two weeks of asking to speak to the manager, we finally spoke to him. He was very receptive and refunded us for the two days with no light in the bathroom. It appeared the receptionists had not spoken with him as well. While waiting to talk to him, we saw a stack of perhaps 25 notes for the manager that the receptionists handed him with our requests in there. Clearly, the receptionists do not have the authority to deal with a refund. Immediately after we spoke to him, we got multiple deliveries of a coffee maker (personally delivered by the manager), dishes, pots and pans, silverware, cooking utensils, etc. It appears he may have been absent, or more likely, up to his armpits in alligators. This is not a resort, it is a hotel. Like many hotels in this class, there is very little attention to detail and no incentive for staff to report defects to maintenance. In this case, with the ongoing renovation, it is just more pronounced. We would consider staying there again if the room rate stays where it is.
