The room was amazing! Bistro had lovely food and the staff were incredible. Thank you for an amazing stay and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town.

It's a great experience. The house is a loft, with a large living room, small kitchen and sink on the ground floor, and a large bed and bathroom on the second floor. The bed is big enough for a family of three.

The hotel is old, with poor hygiene, dilapidated room facilities and poor hygiene.

We thought that the bistro would be of a higher standard. Had to go to the city to eat which meant two taxi fares.

Check-in was smooth, and the staff are pretty nice. The room is clean. However, the aircon is so noise.

tired rooms in need of upgrade. Light and sound leak from hallway overnight. Rattling air conditioner.

Should not charge $15 a day for parking We are already paying enough for the room and we where patronising the establishment through drinks and dining in restaurant bar area Above is only saying it the way it is The line has to be drawn on on being fair to those who choose to stay there $15 a day ain’t going to make a big difference to the establishment’s profit margins but obviously by my comments and another couple that spent the 3 nights there with us all agreed that it shouldn’t be an extra charge

Mercure Braddon is our go to place for accommodation everytime we are in Canberra. It feels like home for us and its proximity to the city centre is a big plus. Our big thanks to Claudia and Vila at the front desk with their service with a smile. Keep it up girls. You made us feel so welcome.

Such a beautiful historical hotel. It was built in 1927, just as Canberra started up with the building of Old Parliament House. Lovely character, large rooms.

It was a terrible night and could not sleep well as we had to evacuate two times around 4 am and 4:30 am for the false fire alarms. Staffs should explain why it happened and apologise about false alarms before we ask about it.

The room was really small and they had a huge glass table beside the bed which was way too big for the room. A bit hard to get into bed. Also, something to consider for heritage type accommodation, they did not have a lift where we were and I was in a moon boot. Lesson learnt on my part. Not sure why we had to pay for parking for a spot out the front which the general public could use anyway.

Great value and still close to the city, free secure parking and generous sized rooms.
