Hotels in Canberra City Centre, Braddon

This hostel was clean, modern, centrally located and an all round great value stay. I’ll be staying here again for sure. The only issue I had was that the hot water in the shower runs out quickly. Having a room key via an app was super handy, no more stressing about wiping a key card by keeping it in the same pocket as my phone!!

Very nice, you can wash clothes and cook. I especially like this terrace, you can enjoy the breeze and have a drink. I had to stay here when I came to Canberra last time. The transportation is convenient, there is a bus outside, and the bus at the door goes directly to Sydney.

I really enjoyed my stay! The receptionist was really nice as well! The receptionist did go above and beyond for my comfort which I really loved!

Overall, our stay at Madison Apartments was pleasant once we finally got into the room. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed — from toiletries to kitchen essentials. The A/C wasn’t working properly at the time, but it wasn’t a big issue since the weather was cool. However, the check-in process was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I had called ahead to ask if we could check in just 30 minutes early as I wasn’t feeling well and needed to rest. Upon arriving around 1:35 pm, we were told the room wasn’t ready, which I completely understood since the official check-in time was 2 pm. But when we came back at 2:40 pm, the room was ”still not ready”. The receptionist asked us to wait another 30 minutes to an hour — we ended up waiting until almost 3:30 pm, and it was still not prepared. It was honestly a terrible start to our stay — being sick, exhausted, and having nowhere to rest while continuously being told “just a little longer.” The receptionist was kind and apologetic, but it was clear she wasn’t getting any real updates from housekeeping. It felt disorganised and unprofessional for an apartment of this standard. Breakfast was another letdown for $25 per person — very basic, with no hot food. Just bread, cereal, fruit in syrup, and some bakery items. The pancakes were the only saving grace. Coffee mix wasn’t good either. Once inside, though, the apartment itself made up for it — spacious, comfortable, and had everything you could need. It’s a nice place overall, but the check-in process seriously needs improvement.

Very good hotel. Everything is perfect, by the notable exception of the breakfast. You have to make the line, to wait to be seated like it's a nightclub. Arriving at the restaurant, you will wait 20 minutes to have your morning coffee. Another issue with the breakfast is that it is super expensive. I paid 22 AUD (more than 12 euros) for a plate with one waffle... Also paid a super high price for a plate of fruits... Everything else is perfect. Hotel is beautiful, quiet, well located and the persons working at the reception are great! Polite, nice and ready to help!

The room was amazing clean and tidy stunning views from the balcony so close to the cbd 2 minute walk defiantly will be returning here again and was so peaceful and quiet

Don't choose this hotel for family trips. It's the largest room type, but it's still unsatisfactory. The hotel faces the road on three sides, which is very noisy. In the morning, trees were chopped across the street. You can sleep directly on the construction site. There are spider webs in the room and black dirt in the bathroom. I changed hotels immediately on the second night!

I was hopeful of a hassle free break with my children only to be met with ridiculous parking conditions, difficult to find, almost impossible to manourver a reasonable sized car in, offsite parking and walking in the dark in an unfamiliar city with children from offsite parking to Motel. The swipe card had to be reset after many trips back to the lobby, lifts were extremely slow. The breakfast was a redeeming feature but not enough for me to want to book again. Not the relaxing stay we had in mind

There is construction going on next door, accessing the hotel entrance is bit of chore, although facilities is good ,we didn't get the to eat there. $20 per night for parking ie $60 in total for 3 nights is not bad. Everything else is alright.
