Friendly welcome at reception. Room clean and tidy. Our main issue was the bed, uncomfortable and mattress needs updating as saggy and created roll together. OK for one night but we stayed for 2 and both had stiff backs. Breakfast was good, although if you arrive after rush will need to wait for cutlery.

The stay was fine, clean and accommodating. Does need an update as it looks like it was a hospital or nursing home. Need to get ride of the emergency pull cords. It was comfortable and the aircon worked and close to town. A resturant across the road and an easy trip back to the airport for us.

Having stayed at this particular hotel several times before, it will always be my first choice.
The staff are always extremely welcoming and nothing is never too much trouble.
The rooms are always spotlessly clean and all the amenities you may need for an overnight stay.

I make regular stays at the Holiday Inn Express, Braintree and it is a home away from home. The team at the Hotel are fantastic, professional and welcoming. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a competitively priced and comfortable place to stay.

Hotel was well located near main roads but nothing very much nearby. We stayed as it’s close to the racecourse. Fairly basic. Odd smell in the corridors but not in the room. Bathroom had mould around shower door and really could do with an update. Bedroom very spacious and comfortable. Noisy air con. Has good car park.
