Travelodge by Wyndham Brandon

Nice location and  nice staff and good hotel

Great for the price point. Comfortable beds, clean and friendly. Nothing fancy but very good, and quite close to the trans canada if you’re en route.

Bathroom was dirty, pool opening and closing hours not ideal… pool was cold, hot tub not working, water slide not working

I would recommend this hotel for business/conference trips in Brandon. The hotel is close to the University Campus and downtown areas. Two other business colleagues (from France and USA) also enjoyed their stay here at the same time. The Hotel is easy to get to via the Trans-Canada Highway from Winnipeg International Airport and also a short distance from the Brandon Airport for picking people up.

Honestly it was just dirty and not well maintained at all. One of my pillows had blood on it so i went and bought pillowcases and you could just tell the place was not cleaned well. and the The pool area was super gross and the water slide wasnt even open and hasnt been for months.

I would have rated it 0. I have stayed at a couple horrible hotels, this one is in the top 3……terrible. Pictures of hotel are extremely deceptive. I stayed at a Wyndham near Toronto airport 3 weeks before, it was an 9/10, this is a 0/10. Sink in room wouldn’t drain. Chewed Gum on headboard. Pool was filthy and old. Hot tub was disgusting/extremely dirty. Breakfast doesn’t start until 8 am….

The morning desk attendant was absolutely rude! We called the front desk at 4:00 am as the smoke alarm was beeping every 2 minutes as to what sounded like a dead battery issue. Asked us to move all our belongings to a new room at that time when we are half asleep ready to hit the road for a long drive early in the morning. Addressed this issue again at the front desk with the woman attendant as I told her the alarm miraculously stopped as we were checking out. She commented that if we were smoking in the room with a smirk on her face. I felt so insulted. She never apologized for what happened. I also asked if there was a CUPE discount for my union and she said I got a discount from booking and didn’t even acknowledge my question. Still smiling like everything is fine she tops off the ending with hope you can sleep in your vehicle. I’m just truly upset of my experience. She treated us like we were nothing. I will never come back to this establishment and I surely hope management can make this better for future customers. I will definitely have a better sleep on the road than sleeping at the Travelodge.

Room 121 was very spacious and comfortable, I’d recommend that room, it was good for me.

1st room stunk like smoke so I asked if there was another that may smell a bit less, this new room number was said out loud (major issues for a solo female traveller and goes agains any hotel policy) New room has crumbs in fridge door handle, drawers, a clogged sink, the tv was on when I walked in and the microwave was unplugged. Thick black hair on one bed, stains on both. All in all didn’t enjoy my stay.
