Great
YYeziPlease note that Figure 1 and Figure 2 are the photos of the main entrance of the hotel. If you just look at the pictures on Trip.com, you will be fooled. The pictures of the two wooden tendons displayed on Trip.com are an exhibition hall, not a picture of the hotel! The location of this hotel is not very good, on the edge of the city, but the service is very good, it is an inn opened by two brothers, I don't know why the online rating is so high, to be honest, I am a little disappointed. The room given was in Room 6 on the 3rd floor. There was no air conditioning and it was so hot. There was a mini fan in the whole room or it was very noisy. It was the kind of fan we disliked in the 1970s and 1980s. The only highlight of this hotel is that there is a back garden, breakfast can be very cool in the garden, but swarms of bees will come and grab jam. Be sure to lock the room door when you sleep, otherwise it will be opened by others. Later, I went around in the back garden and found that room 4 was air-conditioned, but our room was not. The last Tumuji room is an exhibition hall, not their hotel! The pictures hanging on Trip.com by their hotel are suspected of misleading consumers. It is recommended that Trip.com delete the pictures on their homepage after inspection.
CChoi TYThe hotel is conveniently located inside the old town center, within walking distances to all the attractions - example town hall, castle garden, the Plonlein tower, Christmas market etc. It is also within 15 - 20 minutes walking distance to the train station. For a small price, travelers may also get a cab waiting outside the station for 15 euros.
Room is of average size. Although not a large variety, the breakfast was quite adequate and quite delicious. Take note that heating is not available, so room temperature may be quite cold during winter.
There are many restaurants within the city centers, many of them are hotel-restaurant combination (restaurant at the ground floor and hotel rooms above), serving European food.
The couple at the reception were very friendly, helpful and polite, as like most of the local German people that we met during this trip.
Overall, it is good value considering the location, comfort and service.
GGuest UserUpon arrival no one answered the door on either side of the street. We had no way to call the number posted. Fortunately kind guests helped to call as they were coming out the door and directed us to our room. No contact with hosts until breakfast the next morning. Breakfast was excellent.
Eeee999The hotel is located on the outskirts of the old town, not too far away. There's a gas station nearby, and parking right outside is very convenient. The decor and furnishings have a retro feel, and the elevator can be a bit jerky. The room I checked into that day had a musty smell; I'm not sure what the issue was. The restaurant, however, was excellent, with a great ambiance and a wide variety of breakfast options. Overall, I was quite satisfied!
GGuest UserStaying here felt like a castle experience—very special and memorable. The breakfast was excellent, featuring locally sourced food such as fresh bread and honey, which we really enjoyed. However, check‑in and check‑out were slow, as there was only one staff member on duty. At check‑in, the staff was handling a phone enquiry and I had to wait about 10-15 minutes. The hotel is close to the old town, but access requires using stairs, so it may not be suitable for guests with mobility or accessibility needs. In addition, the parking space is quite small and may not be suitable for larger cars.
GGuest UserWe were given a free upgrade to what seemed like a suite, which was very comfortable for us in terms of room size. There was an entertainment room at the ground floor with a pool table and air hockey table which my children enjoyed. There was a reasonable spread for the provided breakfast. The only downside for us was that the hotel elevator was out of service, which meant that we had a good workout carrying our luggage up 3 flights of stairs to our room.
ににょむIt is about 600 meters away from the station, and it is a little painful for the railway trip around the suitcase.
It looks very beautiful hotel, but the room is usually smaller than I thought, no air conditioning, no refrigerator! (European hotels sometimes don't have a refrigerator, but it was the first time I had a four-star luxury hotel without a refrigerator)
Sightseeing is not a problem because the Galgen Gate is close. Rather, it may be better to see local shops than to enter from the radar gate.
The breakfast was normal in both types and tastes, but the Schweinebraden dinner at the restaurant was delicious.
LLvxingdegushi2000Very nice town German hotel, warm wooden furniture, facing the street but not noisy at night. Very clean, walking distance from the train station 🚉 800 meters.
The restaurant is rich in variety, and it is within walking distance of various attractions in the town. It is a good choice to stay in Rotenberg on the upper reaches of the Taub River!
KKiang Hock1. Self check-in counter. Was charged again after online prepaid. Still waiting for refund.
2. Main door at the left side of the hotel almost dark. Quite inconvenience to find.
3. No lift. Need to bring own lugage 2 floors up
4. Quite difficult to open the main door and to my surprise, after open the door, it was totally dark and scary
5. Pillow is too soft, difficult to sleep.
6. Room is quite clean.
7. Several parking available
CCoachTimCreationsUnfortunately we only chose to stay 1 night here. But when we travel next time. Will definitely stay here again.
Location was great. Easy walk to all the sights. Parking just outside wall with 24 hour parking and longer if you park there after 6pm the day before 😉
Hotel was easy to find and check in was quick and simple. Room overlooked street and was nice and quiet. Just note the head room when walking up some stairs here hahaha.
We went and did lots of exploring of the city and the little local pub across the road had great beer and simple but amazing food.
Loved our trip to Rothenburg
