The charm of Breezewood

This hotel was a gem. From the beginning, I knew our stay was going to be great. The front desk staff were polite, professional, and personable. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The beds were good. Each bed has 4 pillows, and 2 were labeled as firm. (Nice!) The bathroom counters were spacious and roomy. Room had ample lotion, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The water pressure was very good. We purchased microwaveable meals in the foyer area for some quick meals. Used the laundry machines, which were huge and super clean. Breakfast was awesome. Bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy, pastries and coffee. Everything was replenished and hot. Parking included. If you are stopping over in Breezewood... this is the hotel.

The pool was down for repairs and we were given no prior warning about this. We picked the hotel specifically for the pool.

Near a Bob Evans; had a nice meal there. The checkin staff was great. Our room was quiet and nicel. Got two queen beds.

The room is large and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and professional, and very helpful. We drove in at night so I’m not certain of the surroundings, but it’s surprisingly quiet given its location so close to the highway crossroads.

Usually Holiday Inn expresses are a good go to when you have to make a cross country trip in a vehicle and just need a quick overnight stop. I will never use this one again. The bathroom was filthy. The toilet was visibly stained, which is just terrifying. It looked like my room had seen a lot—if you know what I mean. Yuck.

On our way home to Michigan from Florida. The plan was to stay in Youngstown, Ohio overnight and continue on to Michigan. Until we got caught in the snowstorm. The roads were treacherous, slippery, and getting a lot of blowing snow. (Not fun in the Alleghenys) We had to pull off the expressway in Breezewood at the Gateway Truck stop. It was warm, friendly and we were told to checkout the Holiday Inn, which was pretty much, right next door. The rooms were clean, comfy, the staff very friendly, and they were keeping track of the weather so we could get reports. Would highly recommend. ,

It was very clean, spacious, and everyone was very friendly. This was probably the best hotel we have ever stayed at and we travel a lot!
