I had not eaten all day and the restaurant was fully booked. They said I would have to wait for everyone to be served before I could order to go and then told me the only thing I wanted ( cheese plate) was not available. The buffet the next day was unappealing and expensive so I didn’t eat there.

Our trip to this beautiful hotel was out of this world, first of all we travelled with and 8month old and a 10year old. We emailed before our hoilday was due to ask if a cot would be provided and got a response right away and was told a cot would be provided for us. We had a deluxe ground floor pool room which was so handy for the buggy we had. STAFF The staff I would like to highlight I have seen posts about how miserable some members are! if you are working in the heat would you not be hot and bothered? and if you took the time to speck to the person you would find that it is not the case. To be fair we encountered some lovely guests that made our trip wonderful but also some rather rude and annoying guest/s around the time we stayed and could see how well the staff dealt with the unnecessary complaints ie plugs and water.... also telling people ie staff and guests how to stand and bothering others while they eat with family. What do you expect they really did do their best and made our stay the brilliant and stress free. STAFF Names Please forgive me if I missed quite a few names. TARA: at kids club my daughter was very happy with the service and kindness. Beverley without a doubt the best, thank you for your service to our family. Samantha who indeed came in on her day off to do a little girls hair as it was her last day! how nice! picture provided that my youngest does not go to just anyone and she did have a cuddle with Samantha. Beverley without a doubt thank you for your service to our family and your kindness. Jalisa,Miguel,Simone, Jamal, Saneisha. But over all even down to Maintenance, painters, chefs, entertainment you name it wonderful. Reviews.... After reading some bad reviews I was nervous to stay - however I didn't need to be as the hotel and stay was amazing. The hotel is super clean with great staff, the food on offer was delicious. You are asked every day at breakfast where would you like to dine for dinner (as there are 3 on site restaurants) with a option of booking a la carte restaurants is great. The beach bar is brilliant the staff are so friendly and treat you as family. The hotel is in a great location being so close to family we was visiting. ROOMS The rooms are very specious and extremely clean with comfy beds. We had daily room service and some days when baby was sleeping the ladies made no noise while cleaning. We will definitely stay again without a doubt. Please don't be put off by bad reviews - this place is great. From Mark and Troy

Yes I have been to all inclusives with a larger buffet selection but the food on offer was delicious. The option of booking a la carte restaurants is great and the food very good. Positives: Good Location , reasonable Price, Good Breakfast (depends on your choice of package). Room was good, clean, fan, Air conditioner, TV, internet, Negatives: Staff could be very friendly such as Richard, Jalisa, Elecia (I hope I am writing it correct) but many not friendly with a bit of attitude especially morning ones. Lunch , Dinner: definitely they need to work on that . Everyday same lunch and dinner is very disappointing . The worse part I would say is the fact you can't swim in front of hotel , dirty and very rocky, so you need to walk 500M to Hilton or next door at Sugar Bay hotel . For us with no kids was okay but imagine you can't move your sun lounger and can't use the bar

First time in Barbados and what a beautiful place! Me my husband and 2 children are staying in the Savannah and we can’t fault it, staff so friendly, hotel is lovely, the beach is stunning I will not get sick of the view of the beach and the palm trees! Short walk to Carlisle bay spotted monkeys on our walk!, beach with jet skis , water sports , bars, hotel staff at the restaurants and bars are so friendly on hotel if the kids are picky and don’t want to try the food will happily make some chips, chicken nuggets , pizzas! Cocktails are fab the room we have you open the French doors and the kids can jump straight into the lazy river pool! Rooms are cleaned daily would 100 % recommend d this hotel.. so glad we still have 4 days left in paradise 🥰🏝️

We have 1 day left at this amazing hotel, staying as a family with 2 teenagers in a pool view suite. Incredible location, on the beach & easily accessible to other areas of the island on the reggae bus or reception will arrange reasonably priced taxis. Always loungers by the pool or beach at anytime of day. Other than the dream location & perfect weather what really makes this holiday is the staff! Never have I been to a hotel with staff as helpful and friendly as these guys. They go out of their way to make your holiday amazing. I can’t name all of them because but special mention to Shem, Miguel, Shaneko & Analis! We will be back to see you soon!

Just returned from a week at the Savannah. Rooms are very clean, have air con, safe and smart tv. Dont forget your Netflix login and password if you want to watch TV when getting ready. Food was excellent and i would like to say to all the chefs and catering staff , thank you for providing excellent service regarding my gluten intolerance and cooking on two separate occasions specific non gluten dishes. The rest of the week the various other dishes available on the buffets were suitable for me and the chefs on these occasions explained what i could and could not have. The only negative was the hotel did not serve cider so i had to make do with numerous cocktails. All in all an excellent hotel and friendly staff throughout.

My experience at the Savanna Hotel in Barbados was mixed. The rooms, especially the showers, were disappointing, resembling outdated conditions with rusted fixtures and cracked tiles. While the AC in one room worked, the other required five days for maintenance since my check-in on the 24th. Service varied among staff, with some being helpful and friendly, but others in need of an attitude readjustment. The all-inclusive food service lacked diversity, primarily centered around pork, and there was minimal consideration for dietary needs. The daily menu remained unchanged. As an early riser, I faced challenges with the lack of coffee, water, and beverages before 7:30 am or even later. Accessing coffee required climbing five flights of stairs, and it wasn’t promptly available. Surprisingly, the hotel lacked room service, a departure from my experiences in other Caribbean hotels. On a safety note, the floors were excessively slippery; my son, recovering from a football injury, slipped and fell with no assistance available. Overall, while the Savanna Hotel has no merits, improvements are needed in various aspects to enhance guest experience and safety. In our rooms there were sights of cockroaches the place was very unsanitary.

My friends and family went for breakfast that's what they went for and regreted it terribly. The bacon was burnt a lot of the things on the menu had no taste just bland. Just one or two things on the menu was just ehhh... alright but It was nothing exciting or outstanding nothing to leave home and look forward to. They wanted a glass of orange juice and the chef said he's not sending out any more juice! they didn't see why they couldn't have a little more juice after paying $90 for a poor breakfast what's a glass of juice what about the extra mile in customer service. I warned them before hand when they told me they were going that I had been there a few years ago and honestly the food was not good so I'm not going again but they decided to still give Savanah a try because thinking they must have gotten better by now like at least the breakfast should be good right but obviously there's no improvement, I was hoping they could come back and give a good review at least after all those years I had been there. For people's hard earn $90 it's insulting and disrespectful. Do better change the cooks just get better cooks, change the menu or just drop the price to suit the quality of food or cooks that's there at least people will know it's cheap so don't expect anything outstanding. In the end not only the bacon was burnt but their money was too. Whatever it takes seriously just do something it's been way too long Savanah it's also a big rip off to the tourist and the locals.
