The beach view is great! we stayed here for 3 nights, all foods are tasty 😋 staffers are nice and customer friendly. We will come back for sure!👍

We came here to watch the cricket It’s a nice looking hotel with a good sized pool and immediate access to the beach. The sea on this side of the island was rough whilst we stayed and an abundance of seaweed made the beach less inviting so we travelled to other beaches on the sweet coast which weren’t affected instead The staff were generally lovely but the managers could be grumpy. The rules are quite strict - asking for an extra bread roll in one of the restaurants was refused as was having two starters instead of a main. You are made to wear wrist bands in order to access the facilities and this is sometimes over enforced.- it’s not good enough to have the the band in your pocket for instance! I think it’s a shame that the bureaucracy here spoils the efforts of the good areas! The Buffett staff were lovely overall Room cleaning was patchy- often we had to ask for our water to be left in the room Overall I think there is better for the money and I wouldn’t return There aren’t enough pool loungers and we generally weren’t early enough to get one with the usual issue of people leaving their towels on the seats and often not being there

Our stay at Sugar Bay was beyond spectacular. June 7 -10. The food was great and the staff was exceptional. The place was well kept and all staff were well mannered and pleasant. They even went above and beyond so that we could get some Bajan Souse. It was delicious. This was my very first time in Barbados and it was great. Looking forward to staying there again soon. Big thanks to hotel staff Samantha and Kay. You represented well.

I have deliberated hard over a rating of four or five. Dragging it down to a four star review was the quality of drinks on offer at the Reef Bar; I couldn’t help but feel that they were scrimping on the quality of the spirits used in the cocktails. Also a ome issues with hot water availability at peak times. Quality of food was always excellent. Colin’s bar served up a decent lunch if you didn’t fancy the buffet, whereas the buffer options were good quality (considering it was a buffet). Both Umi and Sizzle meals were both excellent (ate here three times in a week). Didn’t use the pool much and yes there were children, however it’s not an adults only hotel so no complaint here. The most comfortable loungers I think I’ve ever sat on. Used the beach every day, had a seaweed problem for two days but it was cleaned up (not the fault of hotel). Deluxe oceanfront room was to a good standard, nice decors although the ‘desk’ style seemed out of place. Room cleaned each day to good standard and bed was excellent. Room was too big to be honest (and I read some reports about other rooms being too small). Staff were excellent in every area, a real credit to the management and themselves. Had a great week, will probably go back at some point.

The property was nice and the staff were very friendly. It was in a good location. The hotel provided activities that could be booked. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I experienced lovely staff unfortunately the amount of guests smoking and vaping were unbelievable 9ver 40 in 5 days It made me seriously unwell hotel said they would stop but even security woman chatted to smokers instead of stopping them

We had a fabulous second week in Barbados and found it very relaxing here, reception was a smooth transaction and we were very happy with Tiana on front desk she was amazing , Finding beach beds was easy but people did reserve beds often so we ended up having to also get up earlier to get a decent spot we were especially happy with Tielan in watersports he was amazing and looked after us our whole stay and absolute gentleman with good conversation ,the only reason I have given four star is the food , it was not varied enough and got quite boring after a few days but apart from that we had a good stay Many thanks

We’ve just returned from our 7th visit at sugar bay! We love everything about it, the food is excellent and the beach is gorgeous. What makes the hotel so special however are the staff, who go above and beyond to make sure your holiday is as enjoyable as possible. We would like to give a special mention to Akiel and Aykeem, who are excellent and of course Nathan, who sadly won’t be there next time we go, but who was a brilliant bartender, making the best surprise cocktails. If your lucky enough to be visiting sugar bay soon, hope you love it as much as we do!!
