We spent time at this location 6 years ago celebrating a birthday for a 90 year old relative, we chose to return to this location however in different circumstances but a reminder of the great time we had some years ago.

Great location, big room, comfy bed and a lovely breakfast. Perfect for what we needed. No disturbance from road traffic.

The hotel needs a revamp, the room we stayed in was absolutely dreadful, the shower flange between the glass and the door wasn’t there and water was going everywhere we told receptionist and she said they haven’t got any rooms available so she’ll put in a “shift note” about changing rooms the following Day and that was sorted but when we moved rooms and this room was just as bad as the previous one! The bed was tilting towards the front which made it uncomfortable, the bed side lamp didn’t work and not to mention the WiFi we paid £20 for the WiFi and kept on disconnecting me! overall the room was very dusty! Won’t be staying here again

We visited as a family. 2xadults and 2xchildren. The room was not ready when we arrived, missing beds and some not made up. After complaining, the beds were made up but without a bed sheet and the one bed was just a mattress on the floor. Unacceptable. The staff didn’t know how to resolve. The room was ok but bits of dirt and cobwebs. Needed a refresh and deep clean. Not the usual service we receive at premier inn.

Hotel is conveniently located off the M5. Arrived late evening to find the car park mostly full of contractors vans. Better to park in the additional parking behind the hotel. Had a very warm welcome from Lewis on reception who couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. Went out of his way for us to give us a quiet room. First room we were given smelt of damp so we changed to another which smelt of stale smoke. However this was what they had available for our requirements. Hotel is tired and carpets in the corridors dirty and covered in stains. Room was typical premier inn but dusty. Curtains had holes in them. No air con meant room was very warm though a fan is provided. The hotel could do with a refurb in all honesty but the service made up for this.

My partner had booked to stay the night for myself and my partners' 5th year anniversary. My partner had a confirmation email stating the booking details for the evening. Just after booking the room my partner had called me to inform me that the hotel didn't have a room available for us that evening, and that they had transferred us to another hotel in Bridgwater so we could stay there instead. My partner had asked for confirmation of the change, but the lady on the desk had reassured him there was no need and all was sorted at her end. About 5 minutes after this, he had another call stating that the lady on desk wasn't able to do the transfer on the computer as no one on shift knew how to do it and the manager wasn't answering their phone. My partner had asked if she could do it manually (either call the other hotel or send an email across with the reference number) but she said she was not able to do it as " that's not how it works here". The lady then suggested we booked another room at another Premier Inn nearby and that we should call the refund number on Tuesday to issue the refund. Unfortunately, at this time, it was too late to rebook and paying double for no fault of our own is ridiculous. The issue is if you don't have the room, then why take more money and not refund it immediately after realising. Another issue I have is the attitude of the lady on the desk on Saturday 4th May and behind the phone calls. I didn't catch her name, but she was very rude, bolshy and unhelpful. After all, our 5 year anniversary was ruined and this was no fault of our own and apparently a transfer had to be done on the computer and was not able to be done any other way. I hope they realise that this is unacceptable taking peoples money and not sorting out the issues when things could be resolved. The whole night was ruined!!!

Megan on reception was amazing! When we checked in she asked if it was okay that we were on the second floor as the hotel does not have a lift which we thought was very considerate. Luckily our friends who were also staying did need a ground floor room and she quickly moved them before they arrived. She was friendly and polite all night when we walked through and even gave us some biscuits to have with our tea. The restaurant staff were also kind to us and although they looked pretty busy they were very quick with our wonderful food. Would defiantly stay here again.
