Visited again on the 5th of June for breakfast with my wife and Son. The female staff member was great, super friendly and helpful. I have visited multiple times since it’s reopening and have to say never had a bad meal or experience, would highly recommend a visit, family friendly, great staff and food

We had a lovely overnight stay at this hotel We were made to feel so welcome The room was lovely and it was very convenient to catch the bus to the beach I would highly recommend Gemma the waitress was super friendly The food is standard pub fare and os obviously enjoyed by the locals

I stayed at the Downs hotel for 5 nights (work) and I could not have been happier with the hotel, staff, food and overall level of service. The front of house staff were brilliant, helpfull, polite and attentative. The housekeeping staff dont always get a mention in reviews, but my room was always cleaned and tidy for when I came back from work - thank you. And to the kitchen staff, who work behind scenes and dont always get recognition - the food was superb and I enjoyed trying variuos dishes. I really cant recomemnd this hotel and its staff enough. Thank you for making my working week in Brighton one to remember for all the right reasons.

Rooms were really well done up with a seaside theme. Very clean - thanks Angela. Staff were so friendly and made us feel very welcome - thanks Gemma. Breakfast was tasty and filling. Rooms comfortable and modern with all amenities, although next to the road the noise was minimal. Great location for Brighton town centre and even grabbing a take away

The staff are very welcoming & helpful. Gemma (bar) Angela (housekeeper) David (office) all made the stay very pleasant. Room was very clean & tidy, fresh decor. Only downside was the double bed was joined together by 2 singles & being above a pub was a little noisy. Bus stop into town is right outside,

Great hotel, stayed here a couple of times in recent weeks and have to say it's never disappointed. The staff are lovely and friendly and the rooms are perfectly decorated and furnished. Everything you need including a really comfy bed and great bathroom, it even has a coffee machine if you need one . The rooms are really clean, a special mention to Sarah in housekeeping for doing a great job. Although it's on a busy road, I didn't really hear the noise but that might just be me. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stopover in the area, the pub serves great food and the breakfast is perfect to start off the day.

Popped in for lunch today with friends, food was very good (nachos could have been a bit bigger given the price £12.50 however they tasted amazing!) & service was excellent. Used “the pub” app to order food & drinks without any problems. Highly recommend!

I would like to thanks kerry and her team at the downs Hotel woodingdean Brighton. For all they hard work they put in at my aunt funeral wake.the food was excellent and a good variety of sandwiches. It is a excellent place to have a family get together and has parking for 40 cars. Thanks you kerry. From Joe jolly .
