The hotel service is very friendly. You can ask them for slippers. It feels very friendly and comfortable! When we opened the door, there was a cute little horse doll on the bed, which immediately caught our attention. My daughter drew one and bought another one for 25 pounds when she left the store. She liked it very much!

Lovely hotel, let down by a few issues: - Room’s air con was broken, and it was a hot day so it was stifling and hard to sleep! - Although ground coffee and a cafetière was provided, the cafetière was for a single cup, so you had to clean it out to make two cups - a bit unhelpful for couples using the room! - Despite the cost of the hotel, espresso based coffees are not included in the breakfast. This seemed a bit ridiculous to have to pay extra for that. I understand it is more effort, but after the cafetière point above, it is slightly irked me! - The breakfast bar where guests help themselves to things was right up against tables with other guests eating, and forced guests to invade personal space. - The staff were so quick to get their jobs over with, that they cleared away my husband’s plate while he still had food not on his plate and in his mouth! A lot of the staff were very welcoming so this was more of a one off. The hotel is in a lovely setting, and apart from the issues above would have got a great review, but I doubt we will return!

Stay every yr for my birthday food & staff excellent as usual. However the property & spa are now showing a lack of maintenance. Our room shower was cold and the spa had various lights out along with the pool swan neck jets not working + mouldy silicone in the showers along with fluctuating hot water etc. Hopefully this will be addressed & the original high standard returned.

Lovely Sunday lunch to celebrate Father's Day. We went as 4 adults and had a delicious meal, Great options and I rang ahead to organise a Vegan option for me. Lovely setting and atmosphere, staff very friendly, professional and attentive. Not rushed at all so able to enjoy the meal and sit and chat afterwards. If table was needed there are plenty of places to sit and chat.

The standard of service is unparalleled. The quality of food and amazing chef mean that breakfasts are a joy; the blueberry and bacon pancakes with maple syrup, salmon bagel with scrambled egg or yoghurt with mixed berry compote were delicious. Lamb and chateaubriand were cooked perfectly - must have fresh and crispy onion rings to accompany though! I hesitate to recommend this fabulous hotel as we may not get a room if it becomes too popular. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

A brilliant hotel in Newmarket. The beds are extremely comfortable, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The Squires restaurant is one of the best that I have experienced, and the manager (Hector) has been very helpful in planning our family dinner. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Bedford Lodge, and I will certainly stay there again.

Lovely hotel , breakfast was excellent , very good restaurant too. Room was very comfortable. Love the possibility of borrowing boots to walk around the park close by. Staff very helpful and kind, specially at the restaurant .
