Es un pequeño hotel “ Boutique” con lujos por encima de los otros hoteles de la zona. El hotel esta alejado de la zona zona ruidosa de Zicatela, hay que caminar mas de 600 mts. para llegar a la zona de restaurantes. La playa no es apta para nadar siempre estuvo en bandera roja. La playa es enorme quizás unos 100 mts. al mar por lo que las sillas y tumbonas quedan lejos del mar. Sus alimentos, bebidas y servicio son de muy alta calidad en comparación a la zona. Cuentan con “ Daypass” caro pero vale la pena para disfrutar un dia consentidos.

Wonderful experience at Casa Joseph. The staff were very accommodating, the amenities were of high quality, and the setup of the grounds were spot on.
CJ provided everything a guest could want in a Oaxacan beach town that is slightly underdeveloped. We felt very safe, as there were security dogs/guards 24/7.
There is a great area in La punta for shopping and nightlife that is about a 20 minute walk, but avoid walking back and forth after the sun sets as it could be very sketchy if you don’t know exactly where you’re going.
Overall, CJ is the best luxury option in PE from our perspective. Worth every penny.

Our stay started less than desirable with our room available for only 3 of the 4 nights we booked and had confirmed. The second night we had to move to a much less 1 class hotel across the street which was totally unacceptable with mold and rust all over. We ended up going at our expense to a different hotel and came back to Casa Joseph for the 3rd and 4th night where the staff very apologetically upgraded us to the top two bedroom villa with swimming pool and private chef. We enjoyed the days we stayed at Casa Joseph and obviously would have preferred not to have to move to a different hotel mid of our stay. But, the staff and manager were extremely nice and friendly and overall we had a good time and we appreciate the upgrades we received in compensation for the messed up reservation.

The staff & ownership of Casa Joseph clearly put a lot of thought, energy, and care into this hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here - the food was absolutely delicious (and generally reasonably priced), especially the breakfast. I would say the overall vibe is relaxation, so not too many amenities outside of a nice wading pool, yoga, spa services. They had live music every night. Front desk staff can help you arrange activities with outside vendors. Rooms were really comfortable with great balconies.
This place is pretty chic, so we felt a bit of place in our dirty Phillies baseball caps & gym shorts, but it was still lovely!

If you want a luxury yet laid back experience in Zicatela, this is your place! Casa Joseph is the perfect place for a getaway and to pamper yourself on the beach. It is literally ON the beach, which is rare for Zicatela. Every detail is thought through, from the coconut they give you at checkout to them cutting the coconut as a snack on the beach while you wait on your room. The rooms are gorgeous - truly a dream. They have great, thoughtful amenities, like a sweatshirt for breezy nights on the beach and homemade toiletries/soaps. Do yourself a favor and stay here!
