Stower Grange Hotel

Booked for a post funeral tea recommended to us by friends. Made to feel very welcome by the owner and his lovely staff. Food was plentiful with good choice of sandwiches tasty sausage rolls and wonderful light scones and cakes. So glad we chose here to celebrate mums passing. Thank you.

Very nice spot. Clean comfy quiet rooms. Lovely helpful professional staff. Both dinner and breakfast were generous and tasty. It’s c15 mins from Norwich Centre but still had a lively bar scene in the evening - would recommend and return for sure.

A great, quaint, old school hotel that has a great deal to recommend it. I was met and shown to my room, by Richard,the owner, who was professional and courteous. The room was a good size and although slightly dated, this actually added to its charm. I enjoy a warm room and the room was heated beautifully for me, although I suspect my wife would have wanted the window open all night as there was no thermostat except directly on the radiator, however, it was not a problem for me. The TV signal was a little poor on a couple of channels which meant I had to be selective as to what to watch, but it was a minor ******. The food for the evening meal was good, I had the cod fillet and a decent dessert at a very reasonable price and the wine menu was fair with a decent selection. Richard, hosted throughout and was extremely hospitable, friendly and professional whilst we had an interesting conversation about the hotel industry. The bed was comfortable with pristine linen. All in all it was a refreshing change to the corporate chains that offer similarly priced accommodation. The minor negatives were fairly poor shower pressure in the morning and an unwarranted wake up call at 7.45am when I was hoping for a lie in! It may not suit everyone if you prefer modern and ‘hi-tech’ but I think it was well worth the money. I would certainly return if I was in the area again.

My family and I visited Stower Grange today for an afternoon tea. Coffee was served in a cafetière and was really fresh. The sandwiches were tasty and we had a nice variety of ham, tuna, cheese & chutney and egg. Sausage rolls looked delicious and my veggie alternative was falafels - very nice. Scones were served warm with jam, butter and cream. 4 different cakes were provided (we had profiteroles, a coconut cake, a white chocolate blondie and a fruity ginger sponge). I would highly recommend this as it was a peaceful and quaint location, the staff were friendly and the food was great. It was also great value for money at just £19.50 each.

A hotel with it's style very much set back in the 80's / 90's - old school. Small number of rooms and oddly the check-in / reception is in the kitchen Staff very helpful but really could pay much more attention to details in room cleaning etc. Breakfast is great

Have just returned from Sunday lunch at the Stower Grange forget the rest this is the best, from the first course through to desert in Norfolk unbeatable, Staff, Food, Presentation first class, these people unlike many others know how to cook food and deliver to your table, not to be missed

Absolutely love this place, the staff and food is amazing… definitely recommend the Sunday roast…. But all the food is great
