Delta Hotels Cheltenham Chase

Nice Hotel, abit far away from Gloucester town centre but there is a Bus Stop right outside the Hotel that takes you there. Decent Breakfast and Good Menu Selection in the Bar/Restaurant. I would stay again. Bar area could maybe do with more staff during peak periods possibly.

Hotel is modern and clean. Rooms very spacious and comfortable quality bedding. Large bed. Shower and bathroom clean and modern. Nice touch with bottle water and hospitality tray. Breakfast was TERRIBLE. Food run out, waiting lengthy time for restock, tables dirty, poor selection of tea, milk (non dairy) and breads. Continental platter was ham and cheese- embarrassing! No eggs for 20 mins. Plates burning hot, sausages. Really cheap and didn’t even taste like sausage! Worst breakfast ever eaten in a hotel. Shame as the rest of hotel was good in every way.

I really recommend this hotel, had a lovely experience, the service was outstanding, particularly a waitress called Lola (I think that’s what her name tag said) she is very polite and well spoken which made my experience really good, the food was really tasty and also the restaurant area was really clean, will definitely be returning, thankyou delta hotel!

The hotel is ok and I must thank the breakfast staff for great service. However, while the disabled room had a wet room (tick) and was close to reception (tick) the corridor and room itself had very little space to manouvre the wheelchair. Most annoying of all though was that the hotel bar seemed to think that it is ok to just swap out something you ordered for something else. E.g. ordered a meal which said it came with leeks but when served it was broccoli. Dessert was supposed to have raspberry compote and raspberry ripple ice cream. Came instead with blackcurrant compote and coconut ice cream. The next day, I asked for a Calypso Coffee and, after a pause while they found someone who actually knew what that was, I saw them adding Kaluha instead of Tia Maria. When I challenged this, was told "We don't have Tia Maria, Kaluha is just the same." (It isn't, Kaluha is vodka based, Tia is rum based). I suggest that if something is not in stock, you should tell the customer without just swapping it for something else.

Although this is a chain style hotel, probably set up for conferences and businesses, we were made to feel welcome by the staff and our room was larger than most we've stayed in. We were only staying for one night but everything was clean, tidy and as you would expect. Breakfast had a good choice and the service during the breakfast time was friendly and professional. We will stay here again.

We came to stay at the Delta Marriott with a tour group. The check in service was friendly and efficient. Food was okay but the service from conference manager Callum on two of our nights and his team was exceptional. He was on hand every moment and accepted feedback from our table with a great customer service focus. One of the waitress’s, Emily I think her name was who served with Callum was also lovely and they both shared a smile the whole evening. Great stay all in all!

I’ve stayed here a few times but was very disappointed this time. The welcome was warm and friendly and I would name her on here but none of the reception had name badges on. The room was clean but the mattress felt like it had a hard ridge down the middle. After about 5 minutes of watching the tv the screen would go black and then would turn back on which became annoying after a while. I couldn’t get any of the changing room lockers to work and I was really disappointed with the leisure facilities. We booked this as we both work hard in the NHS and thought a night away in a hotel with a spa would be a nice treat. What I was not told when I booked or checked in, was that neither the sauna or hot tub was working. So we only had the choice of the swimming pool or steam room. The steam room is compact to say the least. Any more than 4 in there and your almost sitting on each others laps.

Big hotel, that I was stopping at for one night. We had a meeting in one of the conference rooms followed by drinks and a meal. Everything was ok on the whole. Nothing special, but also nothing bad. Room was plenty big enough with everything I could have wanted. No issues there. I took the opportunity to use the gym which was adequate. Again no issues but also nothing special. The Food in the evening was very nice. In the morning I used the pool, which was small but did the job. Unfortunately, the Sauna and Steam room were not working. Breakfast was ok, and plenty of choice except I particularly like the cold meats and cheeses with a bagel for a hotel breakfast and there was none of these available. Overall though, all ok. Very big hotel with lots of space and I would have no issue stopping again if the need arose.

The stay was lovely. The staff on reception (Amy, Sian and Emily) were brilliant- very helpful and our requests were dealt with lovely. I would definitely come back to this hotel and recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect break away. Also the pool and spa facilities were lovely. As I said we definitely recommend this hotel.
