Bolton Stadium Hotel

Pleasant hotel. Price matched Premier Inn opposite. Main downside is if u are a stranger, finding the access road at night is a nightmare as it is not signed. We drove round the area 3 times before I found the way in!!!! Hotel interior corridors dingy and lift takes you to the wrong floor. Rooms 500 onwards on fourth floor! Pleasant enough but for £104 I expected higher standards.

Lost points as cleaning not up to standard. Staff friendly, food good.

We stayed at Bolton Stadium Hotel the night before and the night of our wedding which we had at a nearby fantastic venue called The Hawthorns. We had a great stay, and they did a brilliant deal for us and our guest, great value for money. I'd like to give a special thanks to Nicky in reservations, who was simply amazing with me, nothing was to much trouble, every question was answered, communication was excellent on every level, she even invited me to the hotel to meet her and look at a Penthouse suite, as I was worried we may not have enough room for the bridal party to get ready, which I need not have worried, as our suite was perfect, with lots of comfortable, separate areas for a make up artist and two hairdressers. All the staff were lovely, we didn't have a single complaint from our guests that stayed at the hotel and breakfast was lovely both mornings. We even got back to the room after the wedding, to be greeted with rose petals, towel swans, chocolates and a Teddy, such a thoughtful gift from the hotel. Two weeks after our wedding, I realised I'd lost my perfume, it was my Coco Chanel wedding perfume, so had sentimental value. I called the hotel on the off chance the housekeeping staff had found it, they had! Again, great communication from such honest, lovely people. I am so happy, thank you again.

Just returned from a week end stay here. Overall enjoyed my stay the room was fine clean had what we needed. We ate in the hotel in the first night food ok but the menu in the room was not the menu at the bar when we went down so that was very disappointing. We had breakfast both mornings and I would say for a 4 star hotel it was below average. No peppermint tea, poached eggs unavailable, no bananas or gluten free bread which for a 4 star hotel is very disappointing and things I would expect to be available for breakfast.

Howling gale outside whistled through the windows and was very disturbing. Food was poor - acknowledged this was a match day. Staff all friendly and helpful. Convenient for public transport and train to Manchester

Good clean hotel - near restaurants and other shops. Good check-in. Check out - the women on the desk needs to smile and look at least half interested - Her behaviour was not proffessional

The Bolton Whites Hotel is a very nicely designed hotel built into the side of the football stadium. My stay was for business and there were some issues to report. There were not enough staff to man the breakfast area. The coffee machines were out of action most days, the tables were not cleared and food options ran out regularly. Toiletries in my room were not automatically replenished. And one of the two lifts broke down twice in my total of 7 nights stay.

The manager and some of the staff are rude. This place is NOT CHILD FRIENDLY, even though we were on holidays THEY LITERALLY HAD A BEDTIME FOR CHILDREN AT 10PM!!!! The boys were having the craic the manager had to come up and say to stop playing. When I went into my room there wasn't pillow on the bed. The food is fine, but like still the staff and manager have to get more child friendly, but the butler is sound.
