Loved the staff. The location was lovely too and you can easuly get food within a few min walk away from you. However, there were no tea bags, hardly a sugar and you have to pay for the wifi🤦🏻♀️

Worth the money. 1 hour bus and train travel to centre of london. Pubs, grocerys and take away food nearby. We liked the smell of the shower gel! Very kind staff.

So I booked this place last minute as I was locked out of the house so I needed somewhere nearby to stay. It was £99 for the night which I thought was reasonable As it was a last minute booking. When I got to the travelodge I found it a little bit confusing as there was a carpark (It was quite late and dark, so I couldn’t see much) at the bottom of the building, so I was unsure if that was a carpark or that was a used car show room. Eventually, I saw the “ Travelodge” And was able to park on a side of the road nearby with no issues. When I went in, I realised that the reception was on the sixth floor Which was quite weird, but nevertheless - I made my way upstairs. As I entered the concierge, there was this foul stench that smelt almost like a gym changing room. It was hot and it smelt like the windows had not been opened all day. It was one of those smells that you naturally, push your lip up and squeeze your face. Absolutely horrible! I’m surprised the reception staff was able to work and greet customers in that environment, it smelt like musty armpit! I waited at the desk for about three minutes before someone came out greet me whilst the staff were having their own. personal conversation in the back room (Mind you, I had to kind of prompt someone to come out by making a lot of noise for someone to hear and eventually see that I was waiting to be served). Two men came out one middle-age man and a young man I look like he was probably in about his 20s. I could be mistaken, but they look like father and son, anyways, The middle-age man then asked me if I wanted to “check in” Which was a little bit annoying as I had been standing there, waiting for almost 3 minutes with my bags and jacket on…what else would I be doing at the reception desk at 11pm Einstein? Young man in his 20s, ended up serving me, there was a lot of faffing about going on and it took him about five minutes to log onto one of the computers and find my booking. At this point, you can imagine I’m becoming quite frustrated because I’ve been standing here for almost 10 minutes and all I wanna do is get upstairs and lay down. Eventually I was given my key card and was told that I was in room 717. I went upstairs found my room went inside and was shocked, The TV looks like a laptop screen on the wall. The curtains look like they could do with a wash I could see dust everywhere. The charger sockets were limited and away from the bed, which was really annoying. I eventually Decided to get into The shower just to find that there was no soap in the dispenser. At that point, I wasn’t even going to go downstairs to the concierge to ask them to refill this. I just made my way to the shop and bought some site which is pretty inconvenient if you ask me.

Very clean, comfortable and functional room representing very good value for money. However, every time I left the room I had to return to the reception to get my key card reactivated.

A newly renovated, very clean hotel Enjoyed my stay a lot - can’t argue with a 9th floor view with the Crystal Palace Link Tower and even the Canary Wharf skyscrapers! Special thanks to super helpful receptionists Kristina and Andrea and to Olga for taking such a great care of my room 🙂

I would avoid this Travelodge as the communication between them and their guests are shocking. I arrived with my partner on Tuesday to find out it was shut with no communication of this happening to find out we was being transferred to Croydon Central. From investigating this further this isn’t the first time this has happened from the earliest being April. When we arrived you could see it was having construction work being done and there was a note on the door saying to ring a number but why did they allow us to book in May if this was going to be the case. I think the way it was handled was wrong on all levels which didn’t give us any hope we will not be returning to said Travelodge after this bad experience. We lost out on money due to having to pay out for parking as Croydon has none on their site.

Disgusting with sewage coming up in the shower. Rubbish everywhere around this prison style hotel with razor wire adorning the building. Area vile, felt unsafe. Staff unhelpful and surly. Halls stunk of sewage and ****. Never been in such a horrible hotel. Travelodge themselves weren’t interested in our complaints
