What a stress. Booked months ago.
Received confirmation on Monday for Friday night.
5 rooms booked for colleague reunion. Arrive late afternoon to be met by security guards. No longer a hotel, now a hostel.
********** did a good job in sprting a much better hotel so they did all the could.
IBIS.... taking the money and forgetting that they willl still need customers once the govt stops paying them money.

A very interetsing location being bext door to the birdpark. You can walk round the park before breakfast and see the birds - not sure if this is officially free but they always let me in when i say im staying in the hotel.
Good buffet breakfast.
Upgraded last time to a 2 floor appartment with view over the birdpark.
Only disappointment, and i suspect this is due to challenge of finding bar staff, was that when we got back in the bar was closing and wouldnt serve even tgough it was only 10.30. Previously it would have stayed open later.

Receptionist on arrival was first class. Friendly efficient helpful and very instructive.
Rooms okay - on top floor with only velux window. Has to close the window as it was letting in rain - not other means of ventilation.

Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was very spacious.The surrounding area had plenty of restaurants and cafes and a pub. Chip shop nearby.

This hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was very easy and also free. Our room was nice and warm and cosy.

On oir first night of our 2 night stay, we had a single bed without a matress, in a family room which sleeps 3. I asked for a mattress, and I was informed by the receptionist that the bed frame is all I would be afforded as IBis was a budget hotel ( their words). As this was painful to sleep on, on the second night a different receptionist managed to find us a single bed with a mattress in our room for 3.
Secondly, ine of our rooms was not cleaned, the bed was not made up and uaed towels were left on the bed.
This was disappointing indeed.
