We stayed in the newer rooms and they were wonderful. The hotel has been beautifully restored. The spa is small but there weren't a lot of people. The breakfast was delicious (especially the orange juice!). The grounds have trails which was nice for longer walks. The restaurant at the golf club (not sure if part o the hotel?) was delicious with great service. The horse stables (not part of hotel) was a nice touch...and we ended up meeting one of the boarders who could not have been more hospitable and friendly. I would have given this hotel 4 stars as I tried to get another room one night as I had a nonstop cough and didn't want to keep my friend up. But the overnight staff could not do anything about it even though there were rooms. However, this was quickly made up the next morning when the daytime front desk was able to help me -- and went out of her way to get me a doctor's appointment. Not at all an easy task for a non-Swede with an urgent need. She went above and beyond to help me including making sure the taxi got me to the clinic. I'm very appreciative of the care! Definitely recommend this hotel!
