Small independent hotel. Welcoming, professional staff. Room a great size, bed super comfortable with choice of pillows. Toiletries a luxury. Buffet breakfast abundant choice. Restaurant a local gem. Would return.

Céntrico hotel, dentro del ring, pero en una calle tranquila. Espaciosa y muy bien decorada, la habitación era muy confortable. Dispone de un excelente restaurante y un jardín con césped y fuente ornamental

Über Secret Escapes hatten wir das Hotel Montanus und Restaurant Den Heerd gefunden. Wir hatten ein tolles großes Zimmer, wurden sehr nett begrüßt und hatten eine tolle Zeit. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr sehr gut.

We loved this interesting boutique hotel. Stylish, comfortable, quiet, with a great location within walking distance of train station or anywhere in Bruges centrum. Room was well appointed, and well serviced, bed was comfortable and linens very nice. The 2 bath robes were in an exceptionally soft terry cloth. There was a good coffee machine. Breakfast buffet was excellent with eggs cooked to order. There was a pretty living room style guest lounge and outdoor garden and restaurant space was just being readied for spring.

J’ai beaucoup apprécié cette établissement très cosy, un couple de professionnels passionnés. Malgré un gros retard, le patron m’a attendu jusqu’à 1h30, j’étais en retard à cause d’une location de voiture. C’est rare de voir des hôtelier aussi engagés. La chambre est très confortable. Le petit déjeuner est grandiose et la décoration extérieure tellement reposante.

Far from perfect but Nice, if not very expensive, hotel with helpful staff, if you can find them. Front desk often unmanned.
Lights in suite were faulty. Apparently repaired on day 2 but still faulty so both nights unable to have ambient lighting. Poor given huge price paid.
Bathroom smelled of drains. No slippers in suite despite advertised and rubbish initial offering of tea/coffee for 2 people (e.g. 1 tea bag). Rectified but surely we dont have to ask at this price point?

Hotel is in a good location. It is in a quiet street within 10 minutes of the main square. The room was clean, good size and bed was very comfortable. It had toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, fridge and coffee machine. We did not eat in the hotel so cannot make any comment on the food. Parking (€25 per day) is more expensive than local car parks but it’s onsite, convenient and well spaced. The staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay here again.

Really friendly staff and made us feel welcome .A beautiful sitting/lounge area .
Very nice bedroom with hug3 walk in shower .Very handy to walk into town for dining/ shopping / exploring .
