This family owned hotel was centrally located near the city center. The staff was friendly and they offered a good breakfast. The air conditioning also worked really well. There is a discount code in the Rick Steve’s travel book as well. The rooms were also a good size and nicely decorated.

Kettle not supplied in all rooms and staff wouldn't let me borrow one even though I had brought my own teabags. Pillows flat and uncomfortable No shelf in shower so if you have a bad back it's awkward to retrieve shampoo etc Guy on reception not particularly welcoming, not much of a friendly vibe when booking in Great location Wouldn't stay again or recommend however

Excellente initiative. Sofie et son époux sont toujours disponibles.Nous recommandons vivement.

The hotel was located in a quiet spot near everything. The breakfast buffet was very good and in a beautiful room. The rooms were nice and had tall ceilings. The staff was always willing to help. The price was fair and we enjoyed our time in Brugge!

We were in our room resting at approximately 4pm after visiting Ghent all morning when the fire alarm went off. Frantically we gathered our passports and coats and shoes and rushed downstairs, leaving a months worth of luggage in our room. After waiting outside alone for 10 minutes we finally saw the receptionist and we stopped her and asked what is going on and told us she started a fire in the oven. She made no effort to give us info. By now there was smoke everywhere. After a few minutes we saw her walk by again and she told us she put the fire out and laughed and said “there is a first time for everything”. The fire dept had not arrived yet but minutes later the owner of the small hotel (bed and breakfast) arrived on her bicycle and didn’t say a word to us as she entered the hotel. We finally searched for the receptionist again and asked if it was clear to enter our room. She laughed and said yes the fire is out. I didn’t consider this situation the end of the world but it was quite upsetting emotionally and definitely an inconvenience. We did not receive any contact at all from the owner. No explanation or apology. I emailed her that evening and she told me there never was a fire - she obviously didn’t know the receptionist admitted to it. She said the fire dept was checking equipment but there was never a fire. Zero concern for us as guests and how our stay was more than interrupted by this safety hazard. I was in shock she continued to argue with me so I reminded her she was on a bike ride while the receptionist admitted to starting a fire. Although it is a pretty hotel I would advise anyone to NEVER STAY HERE based on lack of concern for clients safety and well being. If they would have addressed the situation with respect and concern I would never have written this review. The Black Swan is next door and gorgeous. The Dukes Palace is down the street with a lovely bar and lobby. Then the Crown Plaze is a great location. Just don’t stay here. Oh - I also got reprimanded for using the coffee machine in the lobby before 8:30 am. At least I didn’t start a fire with the machine. (I am happy to post the correspondence with the owner of the hotel and a video of the alarm going off and the receptionist admitting to starting a fire )

Delightful old world charm, and comfortable air of calm. Lovely rooms, good beds and wonderful breakfast. The lift was fun and the budgerigars tweeted all the time so we knew when we were back in the right place. The stair case gave the feeling of a grand entrance into the reception area. Free WiFi, lovely toiletries and a comfy bed. Highly recommended.

Great Hotel with friendly owners. Perfect location, number 2 bus from the train station will take you to Molenbrug which is a 5 minute walk to the hotel. Beautiful breakfast with plenty for everyone and regularly topped up. When in Bruges again this will be my hotel of choice. Note there is a mandatory €4 per person per night fee which is the city tax, this is separate from any hotel charge.

We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. The location is fantastic. Situated in a quiet corner of the very busy city, it's very walkable to all the highlights. We booked a Small Double Room because we knew we would be out and about most of the time. The room, although very clean, is a little too small for comfort. The shower is in a really tiny space, and it is really difficult to make sure we do not wet the whole bathroom. We would definitely recommend guests to book the Standard Room instead, which is much more spacious, and has more modern amenities. The service of the hotel was very good and efficient. We were able to book our parking in advance, which is recommended if you do not want to search and fumble about with the city's parking system. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but wish we did, as the dining area looks very cosy. Overall, we can highly recommend this delightful hotel to others

Exceptional in every sense of the word. We always stay here when we visit Brugge 3-4 times a year and would never stay anywhere else. A lovely family run feel, lovely rooms and great breakfasts, all about 7 minutes from the main square.
